Manly Facial Hair has been created. I can’t crosswick it right now, but I can later if no one else gets to it.

How 'bout the image? Is it OK to copy over?

The one on Badass Mustache is better than the one on Badass Beard for this new page.

I put the new page on Masculinity Tropes and Facial Hair Index, but I won't have time to do wicks for a while.

To-do:

• Give the Badass Beard and Badass Mustache on-page examples and subpages one more look-over for any salvageable examples
• Redirect Badass Beard and Badass Mustache (right?) to Manly Facial Hair
• Dewick Badass Beard (4467) and Badass Mustache (3014).

I have fed it enough wicks that it is no longer starving, at least.

I cutlisted the laconic pages of both tropes. Is there anything worth keeping in the Quotes/, Haiku/, or Image Links/ pages? I looked at them and didn't think so, but more opinions are appreciated.

Ugh. I got a message from someone complaining that we weren't moving every example onto Manly Facial Hair, despite the fact that the vast majority of the wicks are zero-context (including the potholes!), and someone else readded it to a page after I deleted it because it was basically just "this character has a mustache" with no explanation for why that character is masculine/tough. Maybe a laconic would help....

I've gotten a few messages like that complaining at me for cutting examples rather than moving them, forcing me to explain that I only cut the unmovable junk. It happens.

I guess maybe I'll start changing my edit reasons to explicitly state the new definiton since no one apparently actually reads trope descriptions.

I got Badass Mustache down to 2500 and Badass Beard under 3900 . I don't see anything useful on the subpages, either.

Anywhere we can put the video example on Badass Beard?

Besides that, I've been chipping away at the redirect Badass Moustache and taking a break to ask: any objections to redirecting the pages to Manly Facial Hair? If they don't exist as pages of their own it could help stop new usage.

(ETA: I've de-indexed them to make that process easier)

I'm pretty sure we already moved all of the good examples on the pages, and we have plenty of wicks that can be crosswicked as necessary.

No idea about the video, though.

Admittedly I had not watched it before I made that post. Do you think it fits Manly Facial Hair? Does seem to be about guys with beards doing manly things (if boorishly) and scoring chicks and the like.

I think it might fit, using that justification, although I have a question about the length— it's almost two minutes long, and the original is four and a half. Is that allowed?

If it's less than half the length of the whole thing, that's fine.

If Badass Beard and Badass Mustache have already had their valid on-page examples moved to Manly Facial Hair, then I think they should be redirects.

Edit: And done, since Walkinshadows said they were already moved.

I think it might be flexible enough to cover that since Clark Gable is mentioned in the description.

Unsure about this example from Characters.Apex Legends Offense in Mirage's folder:

• Badass Beard: A full beard, which is groomed with great care, and indicative of his charming persona he shows off to the legion of fans whom adore him.
  Mirage (intro): "I did my hair for this! Nothin' wrong with lookin' good in the ring."
