While I do see some characters I may root for, I suppose I should post my manifesto for my characters.

First of all, I'm just gonna say that Lackadaisy is a completely free webcomic available to read at any time. The art's to die for - starts off good, but becomes amazing as time goes on - and the story, focusing on a gang in 1920s St. Louis, is intriguing and enjoyable. Feel free to read it.

Now for my two fighters. Let's start with Calvin "Freckle" McMurray. He's a bit crazy when it comes to gunplay. He was rejected from the police force because of it. However, he is very much a team player, cooperating with Rocky's plans through the comic so far. Chances are he'll work well with Ivy, too, mainly because they're most certainly in love.

Now for Ivy. While not as mad as Freckle, she is a decent fighter for her build and age. Being a college-going girl, she's the more intelligent and diplomatic of the duo. Chances are, in the coming fights, she'll come up with a plan or two.

As the only duo, and by extension the only romantic pairing in the group, I have no clue how the votes will go regarding them. I'm not expecting much, but there's only one way to find out what happens.

Here's my argument for why I.P.S. should be backed. I.P.S. is one of the finer examples of a Power Trio that exists. A group of people from the Ruling establishment of wizards, known as "Shapers", who create and alter life, from the fine Fantasy Bio Punk universe of Geneforge. Their academy was attacked by a rebel shaper, and they set out to get revenge for those lost.

First, on the right, Alwan, a staunch loyalist to the Shaper establishment, is a notable swordsman in his first appearance, taking the career path to be a leader in the military. After the events of the game in which he appears, he becomes an exemplar of the Determinator, working his way up the ranks to become a general, then, after being horrifically wounded in combat, surviving anyway, (though without the use of his body, as he becomes almost completely paralyzed) and becoming the rebellion's most ardent foe and one of the 7 leaders of the Shapers, and the only one who consistently keeps his lands relatively safe from rebel attacks. In any ending of five where he survives, he will continue to fight the peace with the rebels, though not attack, until he finally dies of his long-standing injuries, unless the war against the rebels is won. In that case, he dies of his injuries anyway, happy, for his job is done.

On the left, Greta. No one leaves the Shapers voluntarily. The promise of that much knowledge and power is too great to pass up. Greta did, after seeing their more abusive practices towards their creations. Alwan hates her for this. She is skilled with a sword, but more than that, one of the best combat spellcasters around, as she was training for a job as a spy and ambassador. After the events of the game in which she appears, her career works out much the same as Alwan's, except for the rebellion. She takes the rebellion from a miserable state during their darkest hour of the wars, and, after taking over responsibilities as one leader after another is killed, she becomes the De Facto leader of the humanoid branch of the rebellion and is declared General Greta, and quickly brings the rebels to equal footing with the centuries old Shaper establishment. In any ending of the final game where she survives, she becomes the outright leader of the new Rebel Controlled Country.

In the center, in green, the Third One. They have no official name, as they are (or were) the Player Character. References to them in later games describe them as a skilled craftsperson, who was training for a research position capable of crafting a variety of powerful implements, capable of Super-Speed Reading, and certainly they were a skilled diplomat to keep Alwan and Greta working together as long as those two did. They likely accomplished many difficult tasks, though what happened to them is unknown, as whatever it was, both Alwan and Greta refuse to elaborate beyond it being painful for everyone involved. Either way, after that event, Alwan and Greta never worked towards a common goal again, and the Power Trio dissolved without the Third One to lead it. There is also implications that they may have ended up as the Amnesiac Hero Player Character for the fifth and final game, deciding the fate of the world a second time. Either way, they are an extremely skilled spellcaster, capable of summoning creatures to do their bidding and casting powerful spells to empower their allies or destroy their foes.

Two had storied careers, and one vanished into obscurity. Together, they got revenge, in one way or another, depending on the ending received. Apart, Alwan and Greta are charismatic and powerful enough to fight to a standstill on the battlefield, in politics, and in person, and the Third One is capable of bridging those divides between them to make them fight as a cohesive and incredibly skilled group of adventurers.

I want to post my candidate, the Penitent One.

He is man of faith, and a man of a few words. He strives for order and law, keeping it strongly as he believes that "if it's law, then it is right". He promotes the ownership of weapons for self-defense and civil defense, as he lives in a world filled with monsters.

Freckle: Not a man of many words, Freckle is usually a little shy. Ivy's interest in him terrifies him at first, but he warms up to her later. When his dsrk side shows, usually during combat, he laughs maniacally and has no hesitation. He has a little cunning, as shown when he ambushes two of the pig farmers here.

Ivy: Ivy is rather forceful, with very few qualms about expressing herself. Described by Tracy, the author and artist, as being fickle and enjoying provoking others to open up. She's a smart girl, with interests including science (2nd-to-bottom row) and rifle-shooting (click on her image, 2nd-to-top row).

i probably won't do a good job at this but here i go with SDG

Sora's just your typical boy who one day was randomly handed immense power. He hails from an island where he grew up with his best friends, Riku and Kairi, and he carries a weapon called the Keyblade, I'm sure you've heard of it, which he uses to vanquish darkness and unlock doors.

Sora's incredibly loyal to his friends, whether that be Riku and Kairi or his other best friends, Donald and Goofy. In fact, loyalty to his friends is probably his defining characteristic. He has a strong sense of justice and a good judge of character. Even against people he considers enemies, he's more than eager to forgive them if they're sorry - however, he has little tolerance for cowardice or selfishness. He can also be a little cocky and competitive, never backing down from a challenge. But despite all that, he's still a goofy kid at heart, and what he wants most is to spend time in peace with his friends.

As far his abilities, Sora's a formidable foe. Apart from Riku, he was the strongest fighter on his island, and he's managed to prevail against evil time and time again. I could go into the full extent of his powers and all the things he's done, but that would make this page incredibly long. Just rest assured, that Keyblade sure is something.

As for Donald and Goofy, well, you know them. But in Kingdom Hearts, they're a little different. Donald is the Court Magician and Goofy is the Captain of the Guard of Disney Castle, serving under King Mickey. They're eternally loyal to their king, even to a fault, but they're equally loyal to Sora. Mickey tasked them with finding Sora when the Heartless first came to the worlds, and the three of them have been best friends ever since.

Now, let's talk about their powers. Donald is a potent magician and is capable of casting high-tier Final Fantasy spells (including the most ultimate spell, Zettaflare). He also doubles as a healing, proving an invaluable ally during the tough battles. With his spells, Donald can decimate groups of Heartless and his heals have saved Sora on countless occasions. As for Goofy, he's more defense focused. He has a lot of health and a lot of defense, often lasting in battle much longer than Donald does. He attacks with his shield, using bashing and spinning attacks to knock Heartless out every which way.

As a group, the three are the perfect trio. They complement each other well, with Sora and Donald having a Red Oni, Blue Oni style relationship and Goofy acting as The Heart that keeps them together. They really are the best thing about these games and their interactions throughout the Disney worlds brings so much fun and charm to the series. You can really tell they're good friends, it shines through in their every interactions.

Halloweentown, Atlantica, Christmastown, Timeless River, Pride Lands, Toy Box (those are actual action figures but its also exactly how they look in-game), Monstropolis, AND The Caribbean (look at that HD!!!!)

Right, in relation to personalities.

Alwan is a true believer in his cause. He knows that he can be wrong about his methods in battle, and will listen to advice as given, but he knows his cause as a whole is the right one and will not be swayed from it. Though he will speak against actions others in the Shapers take that he disagrees with, he will not impede those actions unless the actions are actively treasonous. He is largely humorless and determined to see things through. Sometimes, he can be bloodthirsty and paranoid though, veering into Tautological Templar territory at times, and will not make choices he has not explicitly been told to make to those above him. He does not forgive easily. He is fully willing to die for his cause, and will not back down from a fight. He will not seek Top Secret information before he is authorized to get it, because that would be against the law.

Greta is a believer in her cause, but more than that, she's a pragmatist. (Combat and otherwise.) If she can avoid an unnecessary fight, or knows a situation is too bad to risk, she will retreat. She listens to advice, and can be swayed from her cause, as long as that cause she is swayed to is against the abusive behavior towards creations (the life made by the shapers) within the Shaper establishment. She will speak against actions others in the rebellion take that she disagrees with, and will quietly work to impede them, by leaving fights, not providing adequate support, or other similarly subtle methods. She has a dry, slightly dark sense of humor, and will back down from a one-on-one fight if she can, unless it's against Alwan or someone closely tied to the elements of the Shapers or Rebels she dislikes. She's a risk taker, and thus willing to take any allies she can get, even if they are dangerous to her in the long run. She's willing to forgive, and perhaps too trusting. She is not particularly willing to die for a cause, but she knows her crimes against the Shaper establishment are punishable by death, so she won't deal with Shaper Loyalists who are opposed to her being alive. She will make choices she has been authorized to make, and plenty of ones she hasn't. She will attempt to find out Top Secret information before she is authorized to get it, partially out of wanting to have all the details for her next move, and partly out of curiosity.

The Third One is more of an Adventurer with a capital A than the other two. They are very talkative, talking to everyone they can. They take more risks than Greta and Alwan combined, and have no strong loyalties to either the Shapers or those fighting them. They are studious and clever, and probably could have gone far in service to either the Shapers or the rebels had they not vanished. They have a strong sense of humor, and are willing to betray people not working for them directly, if it furthers whatever goals they have. They are extremely diplomatic, yet often violate rules or provoke fights to get to treasures. They have an excellent memory. They tend to see people more as a means to an end than as people. They come off as sociopathic and detached lots of the time, but most people they talk to are either in awe of a Shaper talking to them, or Shapers themselves who don't particularly care, as long as the job gets done. They can have mood swings. They will avoid dying for a cause at all costs, and make choices whether they are authorized to make them or not. They are slightly petty at times, and supremely confident in their combat ability, often to the point of overconfidence. If someone they are working for takes an action they dislike, they may not actively speak against it, but they will use extreme violence to stop it. They will go after Top Secret information they are not authorized to get, mostly out of a fear of missing out.

    Sora 

Sora has a brave and heroic personality, meaning he will willingly risk his life even for people he barely knows. He is extremely loyal to his friends, and has been shown to be extremely forgiving to Riku for his misdeeds, as well as highly protective of Kairi. Sora is an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of the situation at hand. Although he can be simple-minded at times, he has a strong sense of justice. Sora has matured over a year's time, shown on the multiple opportunities when he takes charge of his group.

Sora has a remarkable capacity to forgive, even to his sworn enemies; when Maleficent loses control of the Heartless to Organization XIII and is overwhelmed by Dusks in order to allow Sora's group to escape, Sora is clearly concerned for her and is only stopped from helping her by being restrained by Donald. Another prominent example is when he forgives Naminé for rewriting the majority of his memories, despite the severity of her doings. He also expressed a willingness to thank Xehanort's Heartless (who was actually Riku taking on his form) for saving Kairi, despite his past animosity towards the villain. On the other hand, Sora shows little tolerance for cowardice and selfishness, criticizing both Hades and Iago, though ultimately forgiving the latter when he proved genuinely sorry for his actions. Sora has even been shown to try and bring others to his side if he feels he can connect with him, such was the case with Vanitas after the latter explained the connection between himself, Sora, and Ventus. Sora tried to convince Vanitas that as his and Ventus's "brother" he should stand with the two of them instead of with darkness.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi spend their free time gazing out over the ocean from the shores of their island. In Kingdom Hearts, he puts Riku and Kairi above all else; when telling Tarzan which friends he is missing, he starts to mention Donald and Goofy, but stops himself and instead says he is looking for Kairi and Riku. However, he and Donald at first appear to be genuinely happy to see each other after they reunite at Jane Porter's campsite before turning their backs on each other, proving once more his capacity to forgive. In Kingdom Hearts II, he puts all four of them on an equal level. A prominent example of this is when Goofy is apparently fatally injured after getting hit in the head by a rock during the Battle of Hollow Bastion; Sora is clearly traumatized by Goofy's apparent death, refusing to believe it. He highly cherishes his friends and believes that as long he has them by his side, there's nothing he can't do. Even knowing the Keyblade didn't truly choose him, he has confidently declared that his friends are his power.

Sora possesses a rather strong competitive streak, as he often competes with Riku over numerous things, like the race at the beginning of Kingdom hearts to share a paopu fruit with Kairi. Also, when he asks to fight Hercules alone in the Hercules Cup, Donald calls him a show-off, and Goofy says in Chain of Memories, "Whenever there's a contest, you're always rarin' to sign up". Sora also appears to have confidence in his abilities to the point of slight arrogance; in Dream Drop Distance, Sora initially objects to taking the Mark of Mastery exam under Yen Sid, claiming that he is already unbeatable even after the threat of Master Xehanort has been explained to him. It is only after Master Xehanort damages Sora's heart and almost turns him into a vessel for his own heart when Sora realizes his shortcomings when compared to a Keyblade Master, and humbly accepts his failure of the exam, even after Riku saves him and becomes a Master himself.

Sora has often been seen to be highly gullible and oblivious to what should be obvious. For example, he fell for Mulan's attempt at passing for a man, to which Mushu stated that Sora "could fall for anything". However, he doesn't let his enemies fool him as easily. An example would be when he didn't fall for Xemnas's attempt to play on Sora's sympathetic side, which was far more convincing than Mulan's attempt to appear as a man. Sora is often quick to anger whenever he's confused and is quite childish at times. He is also quite impulsive, as he tends to jump into things without thinking them through beforehand.

As a rustic islander, Sora is technologically illiterate. He is confounded by computer vernacular, does not know how to correctly make or receive calls on the Gummiphone, and relies on hunt and peck typing when using computers. Moreover, Sora was left completely confused and clueless when Hiro Hamada tried to explain his Micro-bot creation to him and Goofy. Despite this, he takes to piloting the Gummi Ship quite readily. Similarly, he is inexperienced in courtly etiquette, often coming off quite forward, casual and direct to people for whom Donald and Goofy rush to show obeisance.

Throughout the series, Sora has been shown to harbor strong feelings for Kairi, and vice versa. This is first shown when Riku teases him by joking to share a paopu fruit with Kairi if Sora does not, which obviously makes Sora uncomfortable. He draws himself giving Kairi a paopu fruit on the wall of the Secret Place so they can stay connected. Throughout the series Sora's fondness for Kairi is hinted numerous times, notably when Sora sees other couples (such as Jack Skellington and Sally, William Turner and Elizabeth Swann) interacting, as well as the fact that Donald and Goofy often point it out. Saïx refers to Kairi as "the fire that feeds Sora's anger", while Naminé refers to her as Sora's light. Xion resembles Kairi due to Sora's memories of her, and Roxas refers to Kairi as "the girl [Sora] likes". This culminates on the day before the final battle where they exchange paopu fruit.

Sora is not as conscious about maintaining the world order as his comrades, so he is more open talking about the Heartless to victims in the worlds he visits. Additionally, Sora never ceases to be amazed about the different appearances he takes in worlds like Halloween Town, Atlantica, Timeless River, the Pride Lands, Toy Box and Monstropolis in order to blend in.

Likely a result of his islander life, Sora has a fondness for pirates. In Kingdom Hearts, Sora has a toy ship in his room and wishes to be captain of the raft. When thinking about what to tell Kairi of his journey, Sora pinpoints flying and pirates as the best parts. In Kingdom Hearts II, Sora is awed to meet Jack Sparrow, a genuine pirate, whom respectfully calls "captain". In Kingdom Hearts III, Sora is gifted a ship by Calypso while in The Caribbean; he is ecstatic to finally have his own ship, so he can "sail free as the wind". He shows interest in learning about the Pirate Code from Jack, in order to better act as a pirate.

    Donald and Goofy 

Donald is the most aggressive of the group. Though he has mastered spells, Donald is very reckless and is the comic relief in many games. Initially, he and Sora often argued, but in the end grow into a deep friendship. Donald is also very protective over Goofy and King Mickey as he is the most worried in Castle Oblivion when he fears he will forget about Mickey and when he thinks Goofy is dead, he flies into a rage and destroys many Heartless.

Despite Donald's short-tempered and impatient nature, he is actually goodhearted and caring, as he would sacrifice anything for the sake of friendship. This is proven a few times in the games: when he initially leaves Sora to follow Riku after he obtained the Keyblade, he eventually chose to return to his side; and when the King ordered him and Goofy to take Sora from Hollow Bastion to look for Kairi and Riku, but went against his orders to help Leon and the others protect Hollow Bastion. As in Monstropolis, when he and Goofy protected Sora from Vantias in his attempt to reclaim Ventus's sleeping heart refusing to let what happened to Ventus to happened to his friend. During the battle against the true Organization, Donald used his strongest attack to protect his friends even at the cost of his life. He also seems to be afraid of Daisy as shown at Disney Castle when she yells at him for missing their date.

Unlike Sora, Donald shows more concern about protecting the order of the worlds as he is a bit more secretive towards others about where they are, such as in Kingdom Hearts III, when he glares at Sora when introducing themselves to Elsa.

He also has somewhat of a greedy side, as commented when Sora and Goofy expressed worries that Donald would lose himself to the curse of the Aztec gold in Port Royal, or when Abu stole a sparkling ruby and Donald became infatuated with it.

While Goofy's name might insinuate that he is simple-minded and unintelligent, it is a misnomer as oftentimes Goofy has shown to be the voice of reason for Sora and his companions, and is also amazingly calm and cheerful, retaining his composure when Sora and Donald are completely undone. One example is in the beginning of the Traverse Town section of the original Kingdom Hearts, Goofy states that Pluto might lead to where they need to go, but Donald blows him off when in reality, if they had followed Pluto, they would've found Sora much earlier than they did. He has also proved on occasion to have more common sense than Sora and Donald; in the Land of Dragons, when Sora and Donald mistake Mushu's shadow for a Heartless and try to attack him, Goofy tries to stop them. Goofy also tends to notice things that Sora and Donald do not, such as when they met Mulan and he was the only one of the trio to first notice she was a girl.

However, there have been instances in which Goofy is indeed clumsy, shown when he walks into a cart in Agrabah. Additionally, Goofy occasionally has trouble pronouncing words, such as pronouncing "meddling" as "muddling", and referring to Ventus as "Venquist", "Ventilate", and "Veggie".

Similar to Sora, Goofy has trouble understanding advanced technology, be it Ansem's computer, Tron's world in Space Paranoids or the technology available in San Fransokyo. He was left completely confused when Hiro attempted to explain his former creation of micro-bots. Despite this, Goofy seems to understand Gummi Blocks and how they are used in making their ships well enough.

On many occasions, he has been shown to be the glue that holds the trio together on their adventures; never getting into an argument with either Sora or Donald. Because of this, he is often the one that Sora seems to look to for reason. He also appears to view his friends in high regards, praising them on numerous occasions. As with this, Goofy is very loyal to his friends, an example being how he saves Sora when Riku tries to kill him. Overall, Goofy is a lovable and friendly person who always looks for the good in others and tries to help them.

The Penitent One is a quiet, serious man. He is a man of faith, determined to stop the chaos occurring in his lands. He doesn't flinch at the horrors he sees, and keeps a calm, cool demeanor.

As I wrote before in my previous post, Mostima generally keeps everyone at arms' length. Finding her in the first place is no small feat, and she likes to come and go with little to no warning. It's not that she dislikes companionship; she just thinks that she has no need for friends. She usually works alone and isn't much of a team player as a result. That said, Mostima isn't a hard person to talk with. She's actually pretty eager to share stories of her travels over tea and cakes. Relaxed and easy-going (perhaps overly so), Mostima responds to scorn and admiration alike with the same wry smile, almost like she has no other emotion on display. It's not clear yet if this nonchalant attitude stems from jadedness from her work as a messenger, or perhaps something else in her past.

Have a listen to some of her lines. Nana Mizuki did a great job voicing her.

Kai has a seemingly aloof and absentminded nature. He's often quiet, even during intense discussions and accusations. Because of his quiet nature, he isn't considered to be much of a person of interest to the group. Though like the others, he makes it apparent that he wishes to try his best to contribute to their advancement, even if his withdrawn demeanor and weird aura put Sara off.

Abū Nuwās (al-Ḥasan ibn Hānī al-Ḥakamī) was a classical Arabic poet of mixed Arab and Persian heritage. Known in life for his homosexual dalliances and drunken rave-ups, he would be immortalized in the One Thousand and One Nights (sometimes known as the Arabian Nights) for his...........homosexual dalliances and drunken rave-ups.

In such tales, he was either with a man in a pre or post-sex haze, working off a debt at a tavern or working on poetry to lose the ire of the Caliph (all things he is suspected to have done in real life). One such tale has him held in a tavern for a huge debt that he has run up. They bring him to the caliph's palace and the caliph asks him to create a poem based on a slave girl's musical verses, and then a poem about a cup that he has hidden between her thighs. Abū Nuwās's poems are so accurate that he seems to have the power of prophecy.
