On this site, I've often ran into the problem of not being able to find anything from a giant list of examples on a trope page because it wasn't alphabetically ordered (this is a bigger problem with example pages because they are so large). This can also cause the problem of duplicate works on the same example section, because a work couldn't easily be found.
Even though I'm a rather disorganized person by nature (my parents told me this all the time), I'm still bothered by the lack of A-Z ordering. I have been ordering some example pages A-Z and I've wondering, has this been a problem for anyone else? Is anyone else bothered by a lack of alphabetization on some pages?
If so, please link me some of those pages so I can reorder them when I feel like doing so.
UPDATE 2/28/22- Check Out Sandbox- Alphabetically Ordering Examples Clean Up
Alphabetizing special cases:
- El Goonish Shive: Place in "E".
- .hack and related articles: Ignore the dot, place in "H".
- ×××HOLiC: Place in "X".
Once examples on a page have been alphabetized, this tag can be added to the top:

Does Weird Moon really need three identical warnings to be more visible?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThat does seem a little excessive.
Maybe it was a copy paste mishap or something. I'll remove the duplicate notes.

Macron's notesThe edit history says it's intentional, which bothered me anyway.

Done the main page.
There was some stuff I wasn't 100% sure how to sort, so I went with what I thought was already there.
I've also taken the liberty of adding comments showing the sorting order (where needed), and dividers for sorts that had more than one category (quite a few of those appear to be sorted by creator, and then work).
EDIT:
- Anime and Manga subpage sorted according to work name (except the last point, which I couldn't figure out how to do, and many of them would need considerable rewriting to sort and be coherent)
- Live-Action films done. I am now three minutes away from cursing the existence of an ordered alphabet, and have a new dislike of method acting.
- Live-Action TV Done.
- Video Games Sorted.
- Western Animation Complete. That should be everything for Development Heaven.
Sorted Heroic Suicide, Godis Evil, and How Much More Canhe Take.

Arbitrary Weapon Range is in need of serious alphabetization.
Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.The following folders in Pages Needing an Entry Pimp need to be alphabetized:
- Anime & Manga
- Comic Books
- Creators
- Fanfics
- Films — Live-Action
- Literature
- Tropes
- Video Games
Question since I'm crosswicking for a Web Video work and sorting Web Original examples to other folders where appropriate: Does the "Webcomics" folder come before or after the "Web Animation" folder?
Because, if you take Webcomics as one word, it would go first. I'm not entirely sure about this.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderWeb Animation comes first.

Question, how does one alphabetise the name of a work creator (typically by surname) if there are more than 2 words?
More precisely, would Michael Clarke Duncan be alphabetised under C or D?
Edit: So D it is then. Alright, thank you!

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderBy surname. So the only question is whether "Clarke" is part of his surname. Checking his Wikipedia page, it refers to him as Duncan.
Just posting to note that this(x6, Pages Needing an Entry Pimp) has been resolved.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and Slender- Cast as a Mask needs its examples alphabetized.
Put it in the sandbox.
I know, A Serbian Film is not a trope page, but I wasn't able to find a cleanup thread about alphabetically ordering tropes on media pages.
Someone authorized to edit it (unfortunately I'm not) should maybe take a look at A Serbian Film
writer/producer/director/visionary/troper Ai-Fan The Master Of The Romantic (But Deadly) Drinking Game And Haiku™Ask a mod here and be specific which examples should be where.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupFor a potentially big project like alphabetization, it may be better to sandbox it, then have the mods swap in the sandbox page.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comWhy? What's out of order?
I followed Amonimus' advice and a mod solved the problem. Thanks
writer/producer/director/visionary/troper Ai-Fan The Master Of The Romantic (But Deadly) Drinking Game And Haiku™I made a query discussing my issue with TheOtherDarrin.Video Games sub page. Unlike the Anime & Manga and Western Animation sub pages for The Other Darrin, none of the examples listed in the Video Game sub page is listed in alphabetical order, making it impossible for people to list or look for examples. It doesn't help that the page hasn't been updated since June 11, with its then-current edit being an example from Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, and that was 2 weeks ago.
Thank you!

"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIDone. But someone else can fix the indentation issues.
If a title begins with a hashtag, do we ignore it when alphabetizing?
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsDoesn't it just go at the top, similar to what we do for titles that start with numbers and punctuation?
Can I get some help alphabetizing Development Heaven? It'd help me speed along Doing It for the Art's TRS thread.

I'd like to apologize for all this.
