I agree, but wasn't sure if I should make a thread or wait and see if a quality upgrade improved my opinion of it.

About the Semi-Perfect Cell image, I'd say the one you posted works well - especially since the "DBCU" title of the former image's source implies that the current image is from a fan thing.
EDIT: The image
◊ for the Tinkerbats on the Shantae character page has a bad transparency job, too. Maybe not as bad as Semi-Imperfect Cell, but it's the only image on the page with it (not counting the images that still need transparent backgrounds).
EDIT EDIT: The image for Old Kai's younger self on the DBZ/DBGT Supporting Cast page is... Oh dear
