...Also I don't think shotgun counts for her weapon class, it's mostly rifles, and she doesn't have weapon wild card ability at this point in time.

It was originally a reference to Gate, where the JSDF enters a fantasy land with a portal and curbstomps a fantastic counterpart of ancient Roman army. However, it is changed to the U.S. Army because Panem is set in America.

Also, Kitaeri-chan has entered Lethal Joke Character territory.
