The fossa is probably one of my favorite obscure animals, partly because it's an excellent showcase of convergent evolution and partly because it looks like a cat and dachshund ended up in a G-rated teleporter accident.
Pangolins. They're like big artichoke creatures that walk around with T-rex arms and they're so cute
Everyone, meet the serval!
Holy fuck, that serval kitten is so cute. No love for the Spider-Tailed Horned Viper, aka Pseudocerastes urarachnoides?

Google Snake Game. The kakapo is a flightless parrot from New Zealand, and it's adorable. Unfortunately they're also extremely endangered, but there are captive breeding programs going, and apparently they've been quite successful this year.

The Jorunna genus of slugs, which resemble rabbits. In fact, jorunna parva is also known as sea bunny.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."Nudibranchs are cool in general. So many colors and patterns!
The related blue glaucus is quite a beautiful little creature.
Also, the awesomely prehistoric-looking hoatzin.
They/them or she/herI give you the Corsican wildcat. Looks like a really angry Garfield, but may be a new species.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48More people need to know about the Australian Giant Burrowing Cockroach. I love hissing cockroaches, and these guys remind me of them.
"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"Meet the accidental Sonic character, the Lowland Streaked Tenrec.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Shadow honestly looks more like that thing than a hedgehog.
I think there was also a tenrec character in the Archie comics.

"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."The maned wolf reminds me of the chili hallucination from The Simpsons.

All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48Greenland Shark. Because, uniquely among animals, it lives for centuries, thanks to the freezing arctic waters slowing down its metabolism.
It also has meat that's practically covered in piss and can intoxicate and leave you drunk.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Anoa. I think only Indonesians will know. They're basically mini bulls. Also: - Wolverines actually exist. - Vaquitas, probably. It's kind of sad to see this species only having around 19 specimens left.

Cambrian animals sure are weird, am I right?
Any interesting Seldom-Seen Species you know about?
Look at the spiny orb-weaver spider. I've seen some in real life before, but I never knew what they were called until now.
No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.
