Oh, unsubscribing from a YouTuber over an ableist joke they made is completely understandable. However, I don't think Chico was remotely clear about it at all.

I was subbed to Jobby before I watched the video. I kept watching his older videos for entertainment and stumbled upon "infinite autism".

Don't worry; he did nothing wrong that I know of. It's just a matter of fleeting interest. The massive amount of content that I can no longer set aside time for due to life is not helping.

Yeah I totally understand that. Slimkirby use to be one of my favourites too, but he made so much stuff and I grew out of my Nintendo craze long ago so I only occasionally check in.

Nickisnotgreen. I enjoyed his commentary videos enough and some of them were really funny and creative (like pretending to be a conservative on a very Trump-supporter-ish social media site). But I haven't watched for a while and apparently he's been involved in some controversy recently revealing him to kinda be a douchebag. Shame, but it's not that big a loss because I had already stopped watching recently anyway and I prefer people like Danny, Drew, and Jarvis.

whoisthisgit. He rants on feminism in many videos, and even mocked the LGBT community in another one. And when getting criticized, he reacted poorly and went on a nonsense tirade, even excusing someone like freakin' Elliot Roger. I wish I was kidding.

Yeah, and he's openly stated that he rarely likes female characters because he feels like they get away with some things that men wouldn't. Admittedly, that does happen, but he shouldn't generalize women as a whole like that.

Which video did he complain about the LGBT community and excuse Elliot Rodger, though?

Oh, he's been doing it for years at this point.

I've had a few YouTubers I unsubscribed from lately, mostly because of discovering this forum lol:

• Kurt Hugo Schneider: I used to love his covers (still listen to them on Spotify, though), but the newer changes in his content didn't pique my interest as much.
• Joey Graceffa & Meghan Camarena: Their appearance on The Amazing Race 22 a decade ago got me hooked and gained them a subscriber. But over the years, I just wasn't invested in their content anymore, yet was still subscribed to them for some reason. Thanks to this forum, I finally went with my plan to unsubscribe from them.
• Lindsey Stirling: Same as above, just lost interest.

• James Somerton: Man, this broke my heart. As a queer myself, I was invested in his content, even contributing to a few chats in his live streams. Only to find out he was a plagiarist? Talk about a Broken Pedestal. Probably the first time I ever felt that way towards a YouTuber ever.

I'm seriously thinking to unsubscribe to Wossy Plays. I followed him because he did videos of news for the Digimon Card Game, but he dropped it and now talks only about the One Piece TCG and Lorcana.

TatsTopVideos: Their updates are about as frequent as a blood moon nowadays and their listicles haven't improved at all in years. Just general interest-loss all 'round.

I've had to unsubscribe to Chuggaaconroy and by extension The Runaway Guys.

I can't support Chugga at the moment with all the allegations out against him. Maybe if I've heard he's gotten better in a year or so, maybe.

Plus, I haven't been watching his stuff due to fleeting interest (save for the Sticker Star video essay).

For some time I unsubscribed from DarkMatter2525. At first it was fun seeing him take creationists down a peg and deconstructing religion, but over time it got repetitive and, ironically, Anvilicious about being anti-religion. The same overlying message of "religion is bad" gets tiring and he never plays (ironic wording, I know) Devil's Advocate or point out there are positives in religion, hence why I say it is Anvilicious. Again, the irony is that he's preachy

That Toy Guy

I started to find his reviews lack punch. I admire him for having many subscribers with such basic content and hope for the best. Maybe I'm just too blessed by other content creators.

With a heavy heart, I unsubscribed from Real Life Lore. I'm afraid his channel lost its coolness. He used to talk about very cool and fascinating science stuff, as well as some history (and he had a great Running Gag about using Toyota Corollas as a unit of measurement XD). Not anymore, I'm afraid. Nowadays, he almost exclusively talks about depressing subjects, like wars and battles in different parts of the world and bad news about the environment. Cerebus Syndrome and Too Bleak, Stopped Caring; that's a rough combo. x_x :(

back when I was still in my SMG4 fan phase, I had subbed to a fan-channel called Weegeepie, for obvious SMG4-adjacent reasons.

come 2024, and due to certain… allegations of heinous behavior from Weegeepie (namely doing the deed with a fourteen year old and filming the act) I unsubbed the second I found out.

I recently unsubbed to Ike Eveland and Fulgur Ovid. Due to the recent controversy with ANYCOLOR and Nijsaji, I don't feel comfortable with that, so I'm unsubbing for the time being until things (if they do) get better.

Gotta make it short and concise so here we go:

• Chuggaaconroy, and by extent The Runaway Guys even if I'm still subbed to Jon and NCS. After having had his most recent Let's Play help me through some really bad times last year it just... sucks, I guess. And I was one of those who went "Okay let's wait until both sides are told" until Masae Anela revealed that they had a falling out due to Emile's behaviour a few years back.
• Pretty much all of Nijisanji EN that are still active due to the recent controversies surrounding Anycolor's shitty behaviour. Let's just say that multiple pedestals have broken and shattered over the past few weeks and it's rendered me just. Too tired to be angry.

A now-terminated channel called BenduYT/Bluey Productions. I used to like his Friday Night Funkin' covers and Chikn Nuggit content^note In fact, he was one of the reasons why i got back into Chikn Nuggit until 2024, but in January 2023, he slowly shifted to making Lore fan-series, which i just... found to be boring. Alphabet Lore fan-series were not my thing, and as the months passed, i slowly got sick of seeing the stupid little thumbnails in my notifications, so i just dipped entirely.

And as it turns out, he got exposed in April 2023 for drawing NSFW of his own OCs while he himself is a minor, and leaking somebody's face online without their permission. Now i think i had every right to unsubscribe to him..
