On TV Tropes, it's very common for editors to misuse appearance tropes, as well as tropes whose names make them sound like they could be appearance tropes.
Meaningful Appearance tropes are often misused in ways that overlook the "Meaningful" aspect, resulting in Zero Context Examples and misuse in the form of examples that have no meaning even if the tropes themselves are not People Sit on Chairs.
The Appearance Tropes Cleanup sandbox covers tropes with potential issues. Tropes that simply require cleanup will go through this thread, while tropes that require more significant action will have to go through the Trope Repair Shop.
April 2, 2023 update: This thread is no longer for making changes to tropes, and was brought back from the Projects Morgue solely for cleanup. Making changes to tropes is still a job for the Trope Repair Shop.

Like MasterN said, people use it as "any noticeable cleavage."
I legitimately did not even know it had a specific definition, although admittedly this is coming from the perspective of someone who avoids reading fanservice tropes.
Using it to refer to any character with noticeable cleavage.
From Square Peg, Round Trope:
- Absolute Cleavage refers to when a character's outfit shows not just their chest, but part of their stomach too. Most examples are just "this character has noticeable cleavage".

One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord. So, anything to report in terms of the cleanup? It has been three-to-four days...

One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord.Well interest in this thread slows when it’s time to cleanup. It usually takes weeks to move on. A few people were helping in the beginning but right now, I think I am the only one currently doing it (and it is 1990+ wicks) I will try to get video game section done today but I have other stuff I need to get done. I try to work on it every day though.
You or anyone else are certainly welcome to help out though! It will make things go faster.

Macron's notesVideo Game/ is done. Cleared out 100 or so wicks. Down 1796
Macron's notesTheatre/ namespace done
Rock'n'roll never dies!As an aside, I think I would rather move to Lennon Specs instead of Absolute Cleavage since it has been mentioned earlier (I can do a wick check if needed) and it only has 244 wicks. I kinda don't want to have to go though 2200+ wicks right after finishing ZR (which was about that much when we started)
Anyways, everything down from Series/ is done.

Macron's notesIt's hard sometimes to know where to jump into if the goal isn't to clean out every wick. I don't know what's already been gone over or not.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessGotta love it when people try to hijack a project but aren't willing to do jack shit themselves. :P
Anyway, I took care of the Light Novel/space and a few strays.
^^ Well, can always ask what sections need to be done. If you look back, you can see what sections me and others have done. Characters/ L-Z still needs to be done as well as Manga/ and the work namespaces above Light Novel/

- Creator/
- Fanfic/
- Film/
- Manga/

and a bunch of miscellaneous small individual work subpages.

Macron's notesAlright, I'll see what I can do tonight.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI’ve been working on Manga, but I work from the bottom up so whoever wants can start on top
Hi all,
Have there been any decisions on Idiot Hair yet? The description reads more like a pure appearance trope, but I wonder if there're any consensuses here about how it should be retooled. I don't want to write examples that are destined to be cut.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaManga/ and Comic Book/ are done., and I did Creator some time ago.

Film/ and Fanfic/ are done.
Music/ and Darth Wiki/ are done, as well as a few miscellaneous work pages.
^^ I don't think it was discussed but I think the description is fine. It's that the trope is supposed to be for stupid, naive or airheaded characters. Just describe a character with those traits and not just talk about the hairstyle and you should be fine.
Anyways, great work, guys! The only section left is Characters L-Z. I will tackle some letter sections later if no one beats me to it.

Macron's notesCharacters L-M are done. Took me a while because I keep getting sidetracked by ZCE's galore and terrible formatting, but it's something!
Characters X-Z are done.
Characters.N to Q are done. only R-Y left to do.
Macron's notesI've previously mentioned that the name of Lennon Specs bugs me, because John Lennon seems to be associated with round eyeglasses (which the description refers to as "Potter Specs", in addition to saying that they don't count as Lennon Specs) more often than round sunglasses (with the trope being about sunglasses), and he's worn other kinds of sunglasses. I also previously mentioned that I've seen Ozzy Osbourne wear round sunglasses more often than the Trope Namer.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think the actual trope here is Hippie Sunglasses (or maybe hipster/beatnik sunglasses). I think that's the real trope here although Lennon Specs is riddled with bad examples and ZCES.
Anyways, I will make a list of 5 of the tropes mentioned in the thread and we can pick between them (if everyone is ok with that...). We are almost done with ZR. Should be finished up tomorrow at the pace we are going.

Macron's notes
I know, I just said adding context won’t be too hard if its done tastefully in the example page. How are people misusing the trope exactly? I don’t have time to checks right now.
