This thread is for cleaning up pages that violate the No Lewdness, No Prudishness policy.
Do not use this thread for reporting pages that need to be cut for violating The Content Policy. Report pages that appear too lewd or gushy to have on the wiki using the "Report Page" button on the sidebar, with the checkbox saying "The page may violate the Content Policy" checked. That will create a thread on the Content Violation Discussions subforum. The thread will be opened by a mod if the report is valid, and if it's deemed necessary, the page will be cleaned according to the Content Policy. (The list of pages that were deemed problematic can be found on The Content Policy's page.)
No Lewdness:
"Lewdness" is more than just being about something sexual or potentially sexual. Here are some signs of lewd writing:
- Personal opinions on hotness. Examples should stand on their own without the introduction of YMMV material. Adding your own thoughts and feelings on an example is an opinion, same as calling an example good or bad. Don't do it. Don't try and extend your feelings to a larger group of fans either, e.g. "...and fangirls everywhere rejoiced". You're not fooling anyone.
- Overly detailed examples. The example doesn't need to be an exact sensory account of the event. Too much of that and you end up sounding like you're writing porn. When in doubt, drop a few adjectives.
- Unrelated fanservice mentions. If the hot bits aren't related to the example, they don't belong in the example.
- Pornographic writing. If you're writing porn, it should be somewhere other than the wiki. Keep it Family Friendly.
- Titillation links. Tell, don't show. We don't need screen shots to illustrate NSFW fanservice. If a reader is really curious, they can go look it up on Google. (See also Weblinks Are Not Examples.)
- Pedo gushing. We don't need to describe children sexually. This should be cut immediately. We're not interested in hosting pedophilia fantasies. Period. If a work contains children having sex, even if portrayed negatively, report it as a potential violation of The Content Policy using the "Report Page" button◊ in the sidebar.
- Talking about actors instead of characters. An actor is not the character they play. When you're writing an example about a work, refer to the character, not the actor. This applies to non-sexual references, but too often it's tropers writing about how they find certain actors hot. That doesn't fit in character examples.
- Thinking a page with a Not Safe for Work subject is license to be lewd. Even when we discuss porn, we are about just stating the facts.
- Fanfic Recs for underage sex. We will not host any recommendation for fics that have explicit sex involving people apparently or actually younger than 16. Period. We categorically do not recommend fics with sex in which at least one participant:
- This applies even if all parties are underage.
No Prudishness:
- Don't cutlist or gut pages just because they're about sexual topics. Sex exists. It's used in media a lot. You'll just need to cope with that fact. Relationships, fanservice, and sexual activity all fall into their own tropes as a result.
- Don't be a Bluenose Bowdlerizer. We're not looking to censor all sex off the wiki. If the sex and sexuality is an honest part of the work and relevant to the example, it belongs there.
- The wiki is not rated G. We aren't sanitizing the wiki for small children. Sex and sexuality are part of media and we aren't going to ignore them. This wiki is Family Friendly, not Unsupervised Small Child Friendly. This isn't an excuse to make work pages dirtier than the work itself, as the above No Lewdness section makes clear, but neither is it an excuse to make those pages cleaner than the work itself.

It has been removed.
- In chapter 9, Artemis challenges her older sister Athena to a duel. They were evenly matched, until Athena suddenly makes out with her to gain the upper hand. Then Athena capitalizes on Artemis' shame and confusion, going so far as to 69 with her 'til she climaxed. Artemis concedes the match, but she calls her sister out for using such a shameful tactic.
Second to last sentence looks rather one-handed to me, but I'm at a loss on how to rewrite it.
Could I get some feedback on this?
Maybe replace everything in that sentence after "going so far" with "by making her climax"? That might be marginally better.
Got another "loli" example, but in reference to lolita fashion. UsefulNotes.Lolita Fashion has several instances of "loli" being used as a shortform for said fashion, such as:
- Special mention goes to the Touhou Project franchise by ZUN [...] loads of characters dressed in some form of Lolita clothing, (with some characters progressively lolified in later releases)
- The lifestyle itself and the stereotype are exaggerated - some followers of the lifestyle go to extremes, lolifying most, if not all, aspects of their lifestyle[...]
Should this be changed to "lolitafy" or similar?
"Leftover items still have value!"Works for me
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?i'm not really sure if the first example means that as in "making the character's clothes more fancy" or "making the characters look younger" as both can be argued for, but i'm assuming they meant the former. the latter is fine just changing it to lolita, though it might be better to just rephrase those entirely to avoid the awkward construct of "lolitafy":
- Special mention goes to the Touhou Project franchise by ZUN [...] loads of characters dressed in some form of lolita clothing (with later installments becoming more obvious about their lolita inspiration)
- The lifestyle itself and the stereotype are exaggerated - some followers of the lifestyle go to extremes, incorporating lolita into most, if not all, aspects of their lifestyle[...]

Pretty sure it's as in "making the character's clothes more fancy", given the context. But yeah, good point, might be better to just rephrase the sentences
EDIT: and changed

"Leftover items still have value!"During the TRS for Sneeze of Doom, its been brought up that the page, and a few other sneeze related tropes might have relation to fanworks with sneeze fetishes. Could anyone please look into it?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AI went through and cut the person's fetish fanfics from Sick Episode, Self-Induced Allergic Reaction, Freeze Sneeze, and Pepper Sneeze.
This is a cleanup thread, for the wiki pages. If another user in the thread bothers you, you can 1. ask them to reconsider what they've said 2. Holler for mod's opinion.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupEdit: 'd, late, and Amonimus said it better anyway

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFound a potentially questionable example on Bare Your Midriff:
- The Rappelz online banner ads likely on this page feature plenty of nice tummy shots.
Not only is it ZCE-ish and very general (not to mention the "likely on this page" part which might not be true months or years after whenever said entry was written), rather than describing specific characters from the game (and could probably be cut just for that), but does the "plenty of nice tummy shots" wording sound a bit skeevy even for a game with fanservicey character designs that uses said designs in their advertising?
EDIT: ...also, from the same page, pretty sure we don't need to be troping stuff like an actual person being filmed naked without their knowledge or consent (not to mention it's not even an example of that trope):
- Sportscaster Erin Andrews' peephole video: The video shows Ms. Andrews' ritual of ironing and curling her hair in the nude, along with her casual nudity lifestyle. Her stalker secretly shot the video through peepholes in her hotel rooms at the Nashville Marriot at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and the Radisson Hotel in Milwaukee, WI..

"Leftover items still have value!"That second example can definitely go. The game on the first might be a valid example but it would have to be rewritten entirely from the ground up, "nice tummy shots" is creepy and it's practically a ZCE/general example. I think it should be commented out.
I'd like to bring this up from Death World because I'm not sure what to do with it:
- Felarya (NSFW), except everything is trying to eat you. Or just kill you. Or, you know, both. The writer specializes in vore, so, as expected, most of the flora and fauna in his magnum opus are based on one question: "How many ways are there for a creature to eat someone?" There's a creature for every possible method. How about gassing you and growing roots into you to suck out the juices? Or portals out of that hell being created by creatures who live between dimensions and will snatch you while you're in Subspace or Hyperspace for dinner? The ones on the low end of his hazard scale aren't safe, they just need to be near you to kill you as opposed to, say, creating a wind tunnel to suck you up from over a hundred yards away. It's amazingly creative. However, if you're not a voreaphile, the sheer number and creativity of ways you can suddenly find yourself in something's gut make it scary, not sexy.
Even aside from lewdness there's issues with this (calling it "his magnum opus" for one), but I think there might be a valid entry in here somewhere if this can be trimmed a lot? I did a tiny bit of a digging and this seems to have quite a bit of in-depth, elaborate world building given to it on its own wiki, but I don't know how much of that is just there to give a backstory for the fetish content. (I mean, the logo is a closeup of a mouth, not very reassuring.) From what I'm familiar with even a work page cut for violating the P5 can be troped on trope pages as long as the cutworthy content isn't mentioned but I'm not sure if something like this would go too far. Would this be an okay rewrite or should the whole thing be cut?
- In Felarya (NSFW), everything is trying to eat you, kill you, or both. Not even leaving the dimension is safe, as some creatures can attack you while in Subspace or Hyperspace. The ones on the low end of the world's hazard scale aren't safe, they just need to be near you to kill you as opposed to, say, creating a wind tunnel to suck you up from over a hundred yards away.
Again I don't know anything about this series and if it has anything that would violate P5.

I write stupid crap about naked people.I mean, my first thought is to question whether it's even all that deadly - vore makes absolutely no sense to me even by fetish standards, but I do know that it's often portrayed non-lethally.
Also, yeah, cut that second entry and "nice tummy shots" entirely.
From what I understand, it's usually deadly by implication only.
Optimism is a duty.For Felarya:
All of the monsters, 100% of them, are giant naked women so that's the porn context.
Vore in general is kinda 50/50 split on lethal and safe. Felarya is very much lethal.

And deleted and commented out
"Leftover items still have value!"My main concern was if Felarya had an actual plot to it that wasn't just a setup for vore scenarios, since the entry made it sound like it might. It seems like it's a legit example otherwise since it does describe a world with lethal monsters, just that it needs some trimming. From my understanding if a work has a story that's not just an excuse for one-handedness it passes, especially if there isn't anything more explicit than nudity. (All as long as there's no pedo-pandering either.) Does my rewrite of the entry look good?
I write stupid crap about naked people.sudrictoon only mentions Danchigai and Chitchai Senpai Ga Kawaisugiru as problematic.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI know that, but I’m referring to the other works outside those two.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AUnless there's something suspicious in the descriptions on-page, there's nothing to check.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI see, My apologies, Just trying to be cautious and all.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/A
I would cut that for sure.
