, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.

I don't see anything "complainy" about the footnote. It just offers a related bit of trivia in a neutral and informative manner. The "Make of that what you will" bit implies that some will view Seth's comeback to the joke as being in poor taste but it also encourages whoever reads it to draw their own conclusion on it, and doesn't bash anyone. And isn't it the point of these notes to offer trivia that adds further context to an entry?

To me, the last part of that sentence is on a bit on the bashy side.
The expression literally means that you can interpret something in any way you choose.
It's an entirely neutral phrase and not in any way "bashy".

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
It's a bit of Black Comedy involving rape and child murder done to iconic characters like the Simpsons. Of course enough people will be put off by it that will reach the status of being "infamous".
And again, what's the point of such footnotes, if not to give extra bits of trivial information related to the entry in question?

- Oliver Queen is shipped just about everyone in canon, while in fanfic he's shipped with anyone the writers don't tease him with. As of the second season, he's slept with/dated Huntress, McKenna Hall, Shado, Isobel Rochev, and both Laurel and Sara Lance, and has been teased heavily with Felicity, and less heavily Diggle, Tommy, and Malcolm and Slade. In the fandom, he's shipped with all of the above, plus more! This only became more prevalent after Felicity/Oliver became more hated, as it cause a lot of fans to ship him with just about everyone except her.
Maybe I am missing something but the bolded part seems like needless bashing. I don't see what it adds to the entry beyond complaining about a ship that some don't like. Is it just me? Thoughts?
Edit: Maybe the whole thing should be rewritten.

Sorry, misinterpreted it.
But as I said, it doesn't come across as complaining to me. Maye just replace the word "hated" with something like "contentious'', and maybe remove the emphasis on certain words.
I'd say, rephrase as "This only became more prevalent after Felicity/Oliver became more contentious, and it caused a lot of fans to ship Oliver with various other characters as an alternative."

This is on Curtis under Very Special Episode:
- Periodically there'll be another strip or two where Curtis makes off with his dad's cigarettes and flushes them down the toilet. It's entirely possible the artist is actually rerunning the same strip, for all that anything new happens; Greg rages, then impotently acknowledges his wife's point when she tells him his son means well and is just looking out for his health.
- During the 90s, there was an extended story where Curtis' mother became pregnant, with most of the focus being on Barry's jealousy and apprehension over no longer being the cute, coddled one. When the baby was about due, though, Barry and Mom inexplicably decided they needed to go out at night alone for some eclairs. Some thugs came up and mugged them, punching Mom in the stomach hard. The baby ended up a miscarriage. The entire neighborhood banded together, agreeing to never forget this terrible tragedy and watch out for each other. Of course, the unborn sibling has -never- been even vaguely alluded to since, Aesop Amnesia being in full force for everyone and everything.

So, Characters.Kamen Rider Zero One Movie Exclusive Characters got an Hate Sink entry added for no reason other than to bash the character (he doesn't even meet the requirements for god's sake). Keep in mind, Kamen Rider Zero-One is on the complaining cleanup page thanks to the post-season's controversial ending, and I just got notice when I did a wiki walk on it. Remove? And in case you were wondering, I sent a misuse notifier to that troper, and they haven't responded at all.
