Everyone on the boob chart (all the females, guests and bonus ones excluded) is confirmed, except possibly Hilde (who the x-out is most likely an issue with her height/bust being out of sync or being too big for the non-fan-service female), given it was about character's bust sizes in SC 5, as are Siegfried and Nightmare via the trailer. SC 4's guests are explicit "no"s via Dashi's twitter. The immortals (Astaroth, Cervantes, Raphael, Zasalamel and Yoshimitsuish) are safe bets. Mitsurugi has lots of potential as an old guy. Really the only one I'm only expecting might go is Rock, who will get a Generation Xerox in Bangoo.

Geezer!Misturugi would be freaking awesome.
Again, though, I just want Lizardman and Nightmare. Anything else is icing.
Since Sophitia's son is the new lead, her daughter (I can't spell either of their names) is probably in too. Bonus points they use Calibur and Edge respectively.
Ignore the name, if I'm using this name it means I'm on a computer that I can't delete the cookies on.I actually think most of the stable cast will return since I don't know of a fighting game that cut big parts of the cast from earlier incarnations. But as long as Voldo is in I'm pretty much satisfied although I'm probably going to wait for the price to drop this time since I'm not in the the primary demographic for these games.
In the quiet of the night, the Neocount of Merentha mused: How long does evolution take, among the damned? You do understand that you're asking for a 67-year-old, leather-clad, bondage gear-wearing, Ambiguously Gay man to show up, right?
Anyway, I expect most of the cast to return. Most of 'em were 25-and-under as of II-IV.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadEither Sophitia or Pyrrha is the new host of the sword (a female Nightmare?)
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadHey, how about the guy Mitsurugi killed (I think it was Setsuka's master)? Could make a cool extra character, I'm already picturing him using Wooden Katanas Are Even Better or something.
Also, can someone tell me what the deal is with Yoshimitsu?
Actually, come to think, Mitsurugi wouldn't be THAT old. Probably approaching 45-50, if I remember right.
Swordplay and writing blog. Purveyor of weeaboo fightin' magic. As in Back from the Dead?
And what's not to get about Yoshi? Robin Hood-esque ninja. Has a prosthetic arm. Speakeths liketh this. Ancestor of the one from Tekken and most likely the original. One Yoshimitsu passes on his title to the next, and is then cut by the blade, which absorbs their soul.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadYeah, but why does he fly with his sword, poison breath, teleport and stab himself as an attack?
Likes many underrated webcomicsEr... because it's a staple of his character?
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadHe'd be about 45. He was 28 from II-IV.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadFavorite announcer, guys?
Pardon me for being retro, but I'm partial to SCI's announcer and his chatter.
THIS VICTORY, STRENGTHENED THE SOUL OF, LIZARD MAN
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I had the bright idea to dress Maxi up as Mugen from Samurai Champloo. Since they're both Okinawan, y'know. Next up: Mitsurugi dressed up as Jin and maybe Talim as Fuu. I only wish there was some magic screenshot button so I could post it.

They're from Ryukyu.
EDIT: Which Okinawa is part of lololol duh.

Also, I got kinda creeped out by Amy's default outfits, so I gave her a new one (to go with Rafael's outfit I made earlier). Now she looks like a cross between Arya Stark and Hit Girl.
That and: God damn, Tower of Lost Souls is starting to piss me off. Fighting itself I can manage, but some of the requirements are completely crazy. For instance, any "defeat all enemies with 0 remaining time" - Namco, GET BENT. Sincerely, Coaty.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisOK, had to do without a magical Screenshot Button, used a camera instead, which may explain why they look like shit.
- Maxi as Mugen◊
- Mitsurugi as Jin◊
- Talim as Fuu◊
- Astaroth as Akuma◊
- Amy in "practice suit"◊ (based on Arya Stark, but with all that shiny...)
- Phantom Swordsman Raphael◊
- Valkyrie Hilde◊
I'm not sure who the rest are, but I really like your Astaroth Akuma! I just made a bunch of random original characters (and a lot of them almost right away, so I was missing most of the equipment) so I don't think that my characters are very good...
Welcome to th:|Dude what. The first three are from Samurai Champloo. Then, there's Akuma, a getup for Amy so she looks less Gothic Lolicon (although based on Arya Stark's training clothes◊, Raphael inspired by Phantom of the Opera and a 'valkyrie' Hilde.
I still have to make a Zasalamel outfit based on Noob Saibot (a reference to MK 4, where Noob used a scythe as his weapon).
Also, for the clothes:
- Maxi uses the sandals available from the beginning, Duelist Jacket that's available early on and Jester's Breeches that are either available from the start or after getting five achievements.
- Mitsu's clothes, apart from the glasses, are available from the start. To get the glasses, you have to grind twenty achievements (yes, it's ridiculous, And Your Reward Is Clothes at its worst).
- Talim's set should be available around 10-15 achievements in (the skirt is locked IIRC, however it may be unlocked by purchasing Setsuka, I'm not sure).
- Astaroth has all the parts available from the start (not sure about the pants, but the beads are available from the get-go, the gi probably too).
- Amy's suit is late-game. The scarf is unlocked by grinding fifteen achievements, pants (Rogue Trousers) by twenty, shirt is either five or ten, same goes for the mask. Boots are either available from the beginning or after five achievements.
- Raphael's boots are available early on (Leather Boots IIRC), same goes for the pants (Duelist Trousers). The mask is unlocked by purchasing Cervantes (Usurper's Mask). Frilly Shirt is either a reward for grinding ten or fifteen achievements. Underneath it all are Venatic Gloves (10 or 15 achievements) and flesh-colored Usurper Suit (purchase Cervantes to unlock it).
- Hilde is late-game - horns are available after 20 achievements, breastplate after 15 or 20, leg armor after 15 IIRC, only the skirt is the Belle Skirt available early (IIRC after purchasing Ivy).
Which female character can knock you upwards the easiest? Because 20 achievements net you a Flight Attendant set...

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisFrom the last page, everyone seems to assume Siegfried's ending reveals that the whole purification thing was the result of Soul Calibur's plan, that it secretly doesn't have the best interests of humanity at heart, that it's true purpose is to wipe the world clean and it was just using Siegfried, but I've never thought so, particularly as Soul Calibur has never been shown as anything but a powerful force that touches those who wield it and is strengthened by them, rather than having sentience like Edge, and even in that scene it was never implied to be the mastermind behind anything - it never seems to have a goal of it's own, rather it responds to those who encounter it and influences and is influenced by them.
Especially if Soul Calibur is more in tune with it's wielder than Edge, it's likely that Soul Calibur was influenced by Siegfried's suicidal depression and semi-cynicism about the world, so when he poured his soul into it to "purify" everything, it responded to his madness and... well... crystal desolation for everyone.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I have to say, I found Siegfrieds ending depressing as hell. Seriously, the guy goes through four games of getting it all horribly wrong, finally gets a chance to put things right, with the physical antithesis of the source of his misery in his hand, and... he ends up destroying the world in his ending.
Fuck you Namco. The guy deserves a break.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. And more custom characters!
- Siegfried as Cloud
- Tira as Harley Quinn
- Flight Attendant Seong Mina
- Mad Cow Nightmare. It's really mad.
There also was a Ninja Maid Taki and Musketeer Amy, but I forgot to take photos.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisJust popping in to say one thing.
I want Yunseong to die. I really, really do.
I've wanted it since SCII, and haven't even played the series since III, but I want him to die. With a passion.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySeeing as I liked playing as him (moreso in II than in III and IV), I really don't, but the kid seriously needs to drop the Idiot Ball. That is the one trait of Yun-seong that needs to go. It's bad enough for some that he replaced Hwang, but the fact that he's functionally brain dead when it comes to all things Soul Edge is just pitiable. And mildly irritating.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The Mad
Well until then, what characters do you guys think are likely to return/become playable? The younger characters like Bangoo, Amy,and Talim are practically guaranteed.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.
