This may sound crazy but a Nanoha/Gundam crossover. I mean full on Nanoha in person fighting giant robots poileted by new types. With all the comparisions people say she has to a Gundam, why has nobody put her up against one?

Touhou High School AU. Where events from the games (Mainly the PC-98 games) are recreated to fit a high school setting in some way.

A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fic where Fluttershy takes in a mogwai.

Writing The Dark Knight as though in the Warhammer40000 universe, keeping the dialog pretty much all the same but using the prose to colour everything as though it's an Inquisitor dealing with a Tzeentchian Chaos Cultist.

[[Tropers/Qmark Qmark]], a Total Drama series with Humongous Mecha sounds fucking awesome. I say go for it.

I don't really discuss my ideas with anyone for fear of being rejected or criticized. I don't think that I really even discuss my ideas with myself. I rarely carry through with an idea unless it doesn't leave my head. My Silent Hill 3 fic "Hysterical" is a perfect example of that.

Furiko Maru : Kinda like that. Peter Parker and Bruce Banner? Results of science gone awry and wants a magical equivalent of science? Alchemy and that's sort of potions so they're origin stories are reworked to involve that.

I've got a silly plot bunny of a Fate Zero fusion/crossover fic. Basically, all the Heroic Spirits are video game characters:

• Lancer is Sanada Genjiro Yukimura.
• Archer is Link.
• Rider is Date Masamune and his Noble Phantasm is the memetic motorhorse with magical No-Sell abilities (My Horse Is A Motorbike. Your Attack Is Invalid). Naturally, he will have a Ho Yay-riffic rivalry with Yukimura.
• Assassin is Altair ibn La-Ahad (he's part of The Hashshashin, thus dealing with that pesky limitation).
• Berserker is LEEROOOOOOY JENKIIIIIINS! Kratos.
• Caster is Archangel Flonne.
• Saber is King Arthur again. Only this time, it's a different King Arthur than we're used to: Sonic the Hedgehog.

...Yes, I'm aware of how incredibly stupid this concept is. Especially that last bit.

Well I've just gotten so tired of hearing about daimyo and such without ever actually seeing how non-ninja affairs work. I mean, who's the Narutoverse's Tokugawa? In the sense of a powerful lord who retains his own staff of ninja in disguise as gardeners and hostesses?

^^Oddly,one of the best expanded descriptions of Naruto samurai comes from the worst case of Author Tract in fanfiction history,Chunin Exam Day. Basically,they're more powerful than ninja, clad in armour that absorbs chakra (no selling most ninjutsu), and use techniques to enhance their strength and speed to Lightning Bruiser status. Furthermore, they form a rock-paper-scissors combination with the monks (which he hints are ATLA-themed): samurai beats ninja, ninja beats monk, monk beats samurai.

Chapters 61 and 62 are the relevant ones.

O.o Dear god, I'm afraid to even read that.

Granted, samurai had the advantage in the real world when they weren't disoriented by sleep or distracted by sex, but this is a reality where shinobi are basically one-person armies. If there are samurai in Naruto it'd make sense that they'd be really tough, but why would you cheat and give them magic-repellent armour? That automatically closes a lot of storytelling avenues, avenues that are interesting; how does a man bound by honour to defend his cowardly lord to the death meet his end when faced with someone who can mow him down head-on no trouble? A shinobi killed my daughter, how do I get revenge? The lord of ______ is rumoured to have hired ninja from Hidden Cloud, how do I check to see if that's true without dying in the process?

Jesus, there's a thought; in the Narutoverse, samurai = the long-cherished Western garbled ideal of the Ninja With Honour. XD

Maybe,but the daimyo keeping the balance of power by keeping equal numbers of the three types of forces is a good idea.

Changing topic: I had the idea of an ATLA AU where Yue wasn't saved by the Moon Spirit as a baby,but managed to survive anyway. Long story short,Zhao didn't cook the fish,the fleet was gradually beaten down and Yue's fiancée was killed in the fighting. Fast forward to the end of the series - Zuko is Firelord,and as he's going through the reconstruction and reconciliation that takes place after the end of the series,the Northern Water Tribe insists that he must wed Yue to stabilise the relations between the two cultures. How does he cope?
