Heyo' dear tropers, I've been stalking this place for years (maybe four now...?) and I can say that it has...indeed...ruined my life.

Seriously though, been around the site enough to go from casual viewer to attempting to use the site to benefit my own creative works and so forth in recent days. Due to the way my brain works I have to remind myself that Tropes Are Tools and not be afraid to both tool around with vanilla tropes I enjoy and be able to play with those and others as well.

I come from a very small rural community in the Mid-West so I've come to appreciate sites like this in keeping me [kinda] in the know with this particular stuff. My main thing is animation/cartooning/other illustrating etc., but I also have been trying to dabble in game design and music lately. I'm also trying to get back into writing more, after having been in a sort of hiatus from all that. I'm entering my third year of college at SIU Carbondale with a major in animation, so I guess that's a thing. I've mainly been influenced by classic animation (of course), also including stuff on CN among a lot of other older stuff, as well as a menagerie of video games and of course the very odd and somewhat isolated place I've lived most of my life.

Anyways, outside of my ramblin', hopefully I can find the sort of feedback and "guides" I've been looking for in regards to my content, since I admit that I often feel incredibly ignorant or nervous about doing the "right" things and such...hey, if the site can ruin me, it can also help me too, right? :V

Idk I'm Len, I like getting over-invested in things. I want to write a novel one day but I've never gotten past the planning stage. Right now I have this dumb idea for a fantasy novel where sorcerers take over the role of doctors/surgeons. And there's this dealio with the elixir of life; everyone wants to obtain it, but the only man who has achieved this.

Hello everyone! Salut, привет! My name is Michael, and I've been on TV Tropes for a very long while now. I felt it was time to stop lurking and introduce myself.

I'm an American, a uni student in his last year who's studying Psychology. I enjoy culture a whole lot, always trying to learn the nuances and history of various groups around the world (hence my attempts to learn languages like Russian and French). When it comes to books and TV and such, I'm not very picky, as long as the plot isn't an Idiot Plot. I'm not one to get angry easily, and I hope to be a good psychologist one day, doing something useful for other people.
