Michael vs. Jason: Evil Emerges is a live action crossover fan short film by Radical Talent and directed by Luke Pedder. It was released to YouTube on April 5, 2019. The short is a crossover between the Friday the 13th and Halloween franchises, and features their iconic villains Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers meeting and fighting each other.

Tropes presented in the short:

  • Alliterative Name: Michael Myers.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Jason is technically the one to win the fight against the equally villainous Michael, but Michael gets right back up. The only ones that lose in the whole situation are the good guys, who are slaughtered by the villains during their brawl.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: Michael attempts to beat Jason to death with a hammer.
  • Captured on Purpose: Michael allowed himself to be captured, knowing full well he'd be able to murder his way out.
  • Chromosome Casting: Male only. We have the two male killers and the rest of the victims are also male.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The soldiers that Michael murders suffer these, especially the guy who got his face stomped in.
  • Determinator: Not even getting his hand cut off will stop Myers from killing Jason.
  • Don't Go in the Woods: These woods don't have just one homicidal maniac running around in them.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Jason, as with his original version, kills in the name of his late mother Pamela, whose voice he hears in his head.
  • Evil Is Petty: The entire fight starts because Michael was pissed Jason stole one of his kills.
  • Evil vs. Evil: Jason and Michael are both ruthless serial killers, dukeing it out to see who is superior.
  • Karma Houdini: Both Jason and Michael are still kicking by the end, while the rest of the people they encounter lay dead.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: Jason is naturally presented as a tad more sympathetic then Myers.
  • Villain Protagonist: Both Michael and Jason are the main characters, with the antagonists being each other and the hapless victims they slaughter across the way.
  • The Voiceless: Both Michael and Jason, befitting their original incarnations, never speak.
