The Pretty Guardian battles some bots!

Sailor Moon: Robot Frenzy! is a Sailor Moon web game that appeared on Cartoon Network's site in 2000.

The troublesome Zoycite has transformed all of Sailor Moon's (Serena/Usagi) classmates into robots (Which all happen to be inexplicable clones of Game Machine Man). Moon has to fight and turn her classmates back to normal. Sailor Jupiter joins the fight as well, but she can only destroy the robots, which is an absolute no-no!

Yep. Sounds about on par for a Sailor Moon episode.

In this game you control Sailor Moon on a Octagonal Grid, who can move and shift her position across spaces. Lining up opposite her is Sailor Jupiter. The object of the game is to attack the approaching robots while avoiding being hit by them yourself. The player has four hearts as a Life Meter and you lose one each time Moon gets hit, with the game ending if you lose them all. You also have to protect Jupiter from being hit as well, because she will totally destroy the robots in retaliation which also counts as an instant loss. Luna will tell you which color robots to zap, which is done with the Space Bar.

The game was long removed from Cartoon Network's old site, but has since been archived by fans.

Tropes For This Game Include:

  • Adapted Out: Strangely enough, the other Sailor Scouts besides Jupiter aren't involved in anyway in this game.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Lita/Mako got off on the wrong side of the bed this morning, she shows no restraint and will kill the poor transformed school kids, but only in retaliation. Don't let her get hit and she won't.
  • Continuity Nod: The robots are all different colored clones of Game Machine Man(Gamesen).
  • Endless Game: As is typical of games of its era. You can't really "win" the game, but you are graded on how well you do.
  • Fighting Your Friend: The robots are all of Sailor Moon's fellow school mates, transformed by Zoycite.
  • Forced Transformation: Zoycite has turned all of Serena's classmates into robots, and its up to Sailor Moon to cure them, as well as prevent Jupiter from destroying them.
  • Hearts Are Health: You have four, and you lose one each time Sailor Moon is hit.
  • Just a Machine: Strongly Averted. You have to prevent Jupiter from killing the robots, which in turn, kills your friends.
  • Mecha-Mooks: The Robots themselves. They're Usagi's classmates and you have to cure them.
  • Non-Standard Game Over: If Sailor Jupiter gets hit even once, she will destroy the robots (As in, kills all of your classmates) and you lose.
  • Send in the Clones: Zoycite throws a twist on the Monster of the Week, this time creating an army of robots based on Game Machine Man.
  • Sociopathic Hero: Boy howdy, Jupiter. She normally doesn't care about the robots (which are all Serena/Usagi's classmates) and the wants to destroy them, but Moon prevents her from doing so. If she gets hit at all during the game, all bets are off and she wipes them out. Game Over.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: This game is very loosely based on Sailor Jupiter's debut episode, complete with the same Monster of the Week (Game Machine Man/Gamesen).
