Trivia / Wildfire

For the Hanna-Barbera series:

• All-Star Cast: Quite a few famous actors had several roles in the series, including John Vernon (Wildfire), Brock Peters (Thunderbolt), Georgi Irene (Sara), Jessica Walter (Diabolyn), David Ackroyd (John Cavanagh), René Auberjonois (Alvinar), Billy Barty (Dweedle), Amanda McBroom (Sarana), Jeffrey Tambor (Oberon) and Frank Welker (Mudlusk).
• Dueling Shows: Sort of. There was one other show that was airing at the time that involved horses in a Magical Land to some degree. Premise wise, there's a lot more to contrast than compare.
  • Bravestarr, which aired a year later, is a much closer comparison, at least as far as setting (they're both western-themed) is concerned.
• Production Posse: Jessica Walter & Jeffrey Tambor would work together again many years later.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The only official home release of this to exist is a rare promotional DVD that came out years ago.

For the ABC Family series:

• Production Posse: Nana Visitor (Jean) had previously worked with co-creator Michael Piller on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
• You Might Remember Me from...: Nana Visitor again, who until then was known primarily for her role as Kira Nerys.
