  • Dueling Dubs: The first movie has 2 English dubs, the first being the 1992 Streamline Pictures dub recorded at Studiopolis in Los Angeles and the second being the 2008 Ocean Media dub commissioned by Bandai Entertainment featuring the Vancouver cast from their 1999 dub of the TV series.
  • Late Export for You: The 2nd movie was dubbed in 2008, 16 years after the original Japanese release.
  • Overtook the Manga: The TV series ending just says that the final battle has begun.
  • The Other Darrin: As mentioned above, the Streamline Pictures cast for the movies was replaced for the TV series, due to the latter being recorded at Ocean Media in Vancouver, Canada and 8 years later, Bandai Entertainment would redub the first movie with the Vancouver cast when they released the movies on DVD.
  • In the English dub Rosa Cheyenne was first voiced by Jillian Michaels in the episode preview of episode 12 (episode 11), after which Jenn Forgie took over for the remainder of the series.
    • Also Nami's actress Nicola Amos was replaced by Rebecca Shoichet in the redub of the first movie and carried over to the 2nd movie's dub.
    • Nami's Grandfather, Koho, also had a voice change between appearances. Don Brown voiced him in episode 7 during his debut, but for his reappearance in the final episode Paul Dobson filled in. To be fair, though, Don was already voicing Avalanche Wong and Grover in that latter episode and the voices were hardly any different from what he used for Koho, so a recast was probably in order.
    • On the Japanese side, Gara Takashima voiced Lebia in the films but was replaced by Miho Nagahori in the TV series. Takashima still got to play a part in the show as Rosa, however.
  • Referenced by...: This was the primary inspiration for the Kazei 5 sourcebook for the Hero System.
  • What Could Have Been: There were plans for a second season, but it was canceled due to the show's low ratings.
    • In a similar vein, there probably were plans for a few more movies besides just two given the cliffhanger at the end of the second one, but for whatever reasons no more were made.
