• All-Star Cast:
  • Before it was even clear what this project was, the marketing confirmed that Studio Shaft was doing the animation, huke was doing character design, Gen Urobuchi was on planning, and that they'd also be joined by Tow Ubukata and Toshimasa Suzuki.
  • Tiana Camacho ^note Glynda Goodwitch, John Swasey ^note Nicholas Schnee
• Directed by Cast Member: Kdin Jenzen directs the English dub and voices Shion.
• The Original Darrin: After being replaced by Shizuka Itō from the Japanese dub of Volume 4 onwards, Megumi Toyoguchi returns to voice Pyrrha for Ice Queendom.
• The Other Darrin:
  • Due to Gray Haddock departing Rooster Teeth in 2019, Christopher Wehkamp (who already voiced Clover Ebi in the main series) replaced him as the voice of Roman Torchwick.
  • Since Kathleen Zuelch left the original show, Glynda received Tiana Camacho as her new voice actress.
• The Other Marty: Billy Kametz was originally cast as Roman Torchwick’s new voice actor (though he did manage to record a few lines for Roman's appearance in Volume 9). However, after Kametz succumbed to colon cancer, Roman was ultimately recast with Christopher Wehkamp. Wehkamp donated his entire paycheck to cancer research.
• Promoted Fanboy: A posthumous example; Monty Oum had cited huke and Black★Rock Shooter as an inspiration for RWBY and its choreography. Now, huke is the character designer for his characters.
• Role Reprise: In contrast to most of the minor characters in the show, the detective investigating the Dust robberies has the same design he did before and is once again voiced by Burnie Burns.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Billy Kametz was supposed to be Torchwick's new voice actor, but passed away before he finished recording his dialogue, and the role was recast with Christopher Wehkamp.
  • The show was also meant to be simulcast in both English and Japanese, but unknown issues with the dub of the show (likely related to the need to recast Torchwick) forced the English version to be released on September 25th, 2022 instead.
