  • Colbert Bump:
    • A fresh generation of fans were exposed to the titular song through, of all places, Dragon Ball Z Abridged, when, in Episode 60 Part 3 Cell dies singing the song over a Really Dead Montage as Gohan disintegrates him with The Kamehameha Wave.
    • Earlier than that, the song made a major appearance in SING, done by Seth MacFarlane's character Mike during his big moment in the talent show.
  • Creator Backlash: According to his daughter Tina, Sinatra came to loathe the title song "My Way", being forever connected to the song and believing it to be self indulgent.
  • Magnum Opus Dissonance: "My Way" became Sinatra's de facto signature tune, though as stated above, he allegedly didn't think highly of the song and came to resent this.

    • "My Way" was infamously covered by Sid Vicious on his only album Sid Sings (1979).
    • It was also covered (more favorably) by Takahata101 for Episode 60-Part 3 of Dragon Ball Z Abridged as Perfect Cell dies, sung in-universe by Cell himself as he reflects on his life and dies content.
    • Mikhail Gorbachev referred to his policy of non-intervention in the internal affairs of many Eastern European Countries as the "Sinatra Doctrine", in reference to this song.
    • One of the more recent people to cover the song was the late British actor Sir Christopher Lee.
    • Add Sparks, who of course must go meta with "When do I get to sing My Way".
    • The Bon Jovi song "It's My Life" includes the line "Like Frankie said / I did it my way".
    • One Get Fuzzy strip has Bucky singing a parody of the song about killing a pigeon.
    • The final trailer and the ending credits for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin uses this song to full effect.
  • What Could Have Been: "Comme D'Habitude", the song "My Way" is set to the melody of, was originally going to have the English version of it be written by David Bowie, titled "Even a Fool Learns to Love", only for it to get rejected. Upon the success of "My Way", David Bowie wrote his now-famous song "Life on Mars" as a parody of Sinatra's version.
