- Accidentally-Correct Writing: "Droopy's Good Deed" shows Droopy stating the Boy Scout book says lightning never strikes twice in the same place. Butch immediately stands where the lightning struck a tree, and is hit anyway. While mainly a gag showing nature to be against Butch, this was a widely believed phrase that isn't actually true.
- The Other Darrin: Droopy's voice has been performed by several actors, often Bill Thompson and Don Messick, but sometimes Avery did it himself. As writer Heck Allen said: You couldn't tell the difference. Daws Butler's single crack at portraying the character (in "Deputy Droopy"), on the other hand, sounds noticeably different from Droopy's usual voice. For his cameo in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, he's voiced by the film's animation director Richard Williams. For the film's spin-off shorts, Corey Burton did his voice. His appearances in Tom and Jerry Tales had him voiced by Michael Donovan and Don Brown. In the Tom and Jerry Direct-to-Video Film Series both Jeff Bergman and Joe Alaskey did his voice.
- Recycled Script: "Millionaire Droopy" pretty much is "Wags to Riches", only done in CinemaScope and with less-detailed background artwork. Even the principal animation is carried over from the original short.
