Beef, Wolf, and Honeybee compete in a Chug n’ Tug competition to save a local bar, but in doing so, Beef risks re-awakening a long forgotten wild side of himself known as "The Dare Bear". Meanwhile, after learning that the school doesn’t see them as party people, Judy and Ham drag Kima, Crispin, Aunt Dirt, and Moon along on a mission to party with local school legend and recently emancipated student Doug De Luca.

Tropes:

  • Character Development: In Stacy B's first appearance, Judy was shown to get super defensive (and cringe-worthy) towards her former friend's insults, easily allowing Stacy B. to mock Judy and her friends. However, talking with Kima's mom made Judy realize Stacy B. is likely going to be a Future Loser due to her Alpha Bitch mentality and constant need to put Judy down to feel better about herself. As such, in this episode, Judy is able to trade barbs with Stacy B. with relative ease, even causing Stacy B. to storm off in annoyance at one point.
  • Couch Gag:
  • Eating Pet Food: Implied. While cutting out coupons for Doug De Luca, Aunt Dirt asked if he wants a coupon for dog food, which he accepts and he likes to call it "Doug" food.
  • Frustrating Lie: When Stacy B. mocks Judy and Ham after learning they're going to attend the kegger party, Judy lies to Stacy B. by telling her they're not going to the party because they're going to party with Doug De Luca instead and she's not invited just to spite her. She ends up making it worse by saying she's going to post pictures with Doug to prove it. This ends up frustrating Kima and Crispin as they call her out on it and points out to her they don't even know where Doug is.
  • In Vino Veritas: Whenever Beef gets too drunk, he becomes "the Dare Bear", a wildman who can be dared to do anything.
  • Life of the Party: Doug De Luca was this before becoming an emancipated minor, doing crazy stuff and being known as a party legend. But once he became emancipated, he has to work two jobs to support himself, making himself too busy to party, and he can't afford alcohol anymore.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is based off of A Bug's Life.
  • Shoehorned First Letter: The Ptarmigan family's Chug 'n' Tug team calls themselves "The Ptuggin' Ptarmigans".
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Judy and others assumed that when Doug De Luca became an Emancipated Child, he has a lot of freedom and parties all the time, but when they finally meet him, he's living in a small houseboat that doesn't even have a bathroom. It turns out that without his parents' support, he has to work two jobs to support himself, making him too busy to party like he normally does and buying alcohol has become too expensive for him.
  • We Will Not Use Photoshop in the Future: The end credits have Judy photoshopping her selfie with Doug at various places where they're "partying". Her photos are so obviously fake and she uses locations that are improbable for them to be at (like being underwater and in space) and we're expected to believe this all happened in one night.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: Beef can't remember anything the night after the Chug and Tug competition when he went "Dare Bear" in the finals. Turns out he ended up saving the bar anyway by winning a bet that he couldn't drink the liquid inside the jar containing the preserved toe; he ended up drinking it all... including the toe.

♫ All right, stop whatcha doin' 'cause I'm about
To ruin the image and the style that ya used to
I look funny
But, yo, I'm makin' money, see
So, yo, world, I hope you're ready for me
Now gather round, I'm the new fool in town
And my sound's laid down by the Underground
I drink up all the Hennessy you got on ya shelf
So just let me introduce myself
My name is Humpty, pronounced with a "umpty"
Yo, ladies, oh, how I like to
[horn honks]
The Humpty Dance is your chance
To do the Hump, come on
Dare Bear, do the Humpty Hump
Dare Bear, do the Humpty Hump. ♫

Doug De Luca

Doug De Luca is a party legend in Judy and Ham's school and became a emancipated minor so he can party all the time. But when meeting Doug in person, he's too busy to party as he has to work two jobs to support himself and buying alcohol is too expensive for him.

How well does it match the trope?
