When Moon tries to ask Quinn to be his date for the Lil' Prepper Practice Prom and she rejects him, he goes off-grid in the woods to cope with the rejection. While in the woods, Moon discovers someone has been living on their property inside a bunker and he and the Tobins discover it's Beef's long, lost relative, Aunt Gertrude "Dirt" Tobin, who's been living in the bunker for sixty years. While Beef reintroduces Dirt to Lone Moose again, Moon learns from Quinn that she rejected him because she already has a date and he takes it hard and locks himself inside Dirt's bunker.

Tropes:

  • Breast Attack: Aunt Dirt honks a waitress's boob, thinking it's still an acceptable playful greeting (which it likely never was).
  • Call-Back: Moon's color-coded emergency binder from "From Tusk Til Dawn Adventure" is used again by Beef when Moon spots someone on their property while off-grid and alerts his family.
  • Couch Gag:
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Aunt Dirt has spent the last sixty years living in a bunker, having mistaken the Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964 for a Soviet invasion. As a result, she has trouble adapting to all the changes in society, though she does pick up some modern slang.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: After Moon decides to sleep in the woods, while the camera moves from the house to Moon's location, the Yeti can be spotted walking across the woods.
  • The Freelance Shame Squad: After Quinn rejects Moon, Debbie publicly highlights his rejection, prompting laughter from everyone except Henry, Russell, and Quinn.
  • Instant Taste Addiction: When Judy and Ham first try eating Doctor Bojangles' Energy Crackers, they first hate the taste of it but then instantly can't stop eating it. When Beef looks at the ingredients of crackers, he discovers they contain ephedrine, which is a stimulant that's now illegal in the United States. Beef has to take the cracker boxes away from them to stop them from eating more and he has to slap their hands when they try to reach out for more.
  • Kick the Dog: After Quinn rejects Moon's offer to go as his date for prom, Debbie loudly announces to everyone in the room that Quinn just rejected Moon and everyone (minus Henry, Russel, and Quinn) laughs at him.
  • May It Never Happen Again: After Moon finally decides to leave Dirt's bunker, Beef removes all the locks off of all the hatch doors in Dirt's bunker to ensure that no one will ever lock themselves inside again.
  • Not Good with Rejection: After Quinn rejects Moon's offer to be his date for prom and Debbie humiliates him by revealing his rejection to everyone in the room, he decides to go off-grid to cope with it. Later when Moon confronts Quinn and he asks why she rejected him, she reveals she's already going with someone else. This drives Moon into walking out of school and isolating himself in Dirt's bunker where he stayed there for four days until Beef and Dirt convinces him to finally come out.
  • Parody Commercial: The end credits is about a 60s-style commercial about Doctor Bojangles' Energy Crackers.
  • Police Code for Everything: A civilian example: "Winter Mint" means that a mysterious figure wearing a gas mask has been seen on the Tobin property, disappearing into a locked hatch in the ground.
  • Queer Establishing Moment: While Dirt is showing off her stuff in her bunker to the Tobins, among the things she has is a 1963 cheesecake calendar that features a woman on it that she says she keeps for "company".
  • Red Scare: Aunt Dirt spent sixty years in a bunker because she mistook the Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964 for a Soviet communist invasion. Even after learning the truth, and presumably having gotten an update on world history, she has serious difficulty accepting the idea of "commies" no longer being a threat.
  • Special Guest: Jane Lynch guest stars as Aunt Dirt.
  • Stimulant Speedtalk: After Judy and Ham eat some of Doctor Bojangles' Energy Crackers, they both act hyper and start talking about starting a business.
  • Values Dissonance: In-universe. Dirt was in the bunker for sixty years and she learns she can't do certain things like smoke indoors in public places or inappropriately touch a waitress.
  • Verbal Tic: When he gets nervous, Moon starts to meow unconsciously. The more anxious he gets, the more animal noises he makes.

How well does it match the trope?
