Tropes

  • Ass Shove:
    • Hopson's head gets shoved up his ass.
    • Dusty also gets drunk when Robby and Delbert insert a jug of moonshine into his anus.
  • Bubble Boy: Karen gets trapped in a "pregnancy bubble", which is essentially just a giant inflatable bubble meant to keep her safe from anything that could disease or damage her baby.
  • Call-Back: Karen drives through a minefield of callbacks, while in the school bus. These being several props from previous episodes making cameo appearances in the road.
  • Chase Scene: Dusty and Hopson chase Robby and Delbert around in a Dukes of Hazzard parody car chase scene, complete with all the wacky slapstick, visual gags, and stupid puns of a typical Dukes of Hazzard episode.
  • Conjoined Twins: Randall is revealed to have a vestigial twin in his chin cleft, that was grown there, thanks to his mom drinking while pregnant with him.
  • Continuity Nod: Randall gives Kevin a day off because he's Jewish and it's a Jewish holiday.
  • Eternal Prohibition: Randall discovers that Paradise never repealed prohibition in 1933, meaning it's still technically illegal to distribute or consume alcohol of any kind to this very day. As the chief of police and someone who wants his wife to not drink while pregnant, naturally, he goes all out with enforcing this to ridiculous degrees.
  • "Fawlty Towers" Plot: Kevin and Gina's side plot involves Kevin lying about having a Canadian girlfriend and then having to tell even more lies to back up the lie before it. This gets even more and more out of hand until Kevin ends up adopting and fathering two Eskimo children.
  • Fourth Wall: This episode has several.
    • Gina references to the Rule 34 fanart fans have made of her.
    • Robby addresses Bullet as "Kyle Canine", which is a pun on his voice actor, Kyle Kinane.
    • Bullet complains that this episode sucks because COVID-19 has affected the writers' ability to get together and come up with a good story.
Bullet: Aw, this sucks man. This is what we get for writing during a pandemic.
  • Girlfriend in Canada: Kevin says he has this in an attempt to get Gina jealous.
  • Hillbilly Moonshiner: In light of prohibition, Robby and Delbert start brewing their own moonshine on Twatemala and start up a black market, where they sell it to the jonesin people of Paradise.
  • Interactive Narrator: A Dukes of Hazzard parody wouldn't be complete without a cowboy narrator providing freeze frame commentary on the scenes. In this case, this narrator is very invasive and annoys the characters in the show.
  • Menstrual Menace: Gina becomes more violent than usual when she's on her period, even shoving Hopson's head up his ass for no reason.
Hopson: I just said "good morning"!
  • Moose and Maple Syrup: Kevin and Gina go to Canada, where everything is very stereotypically "Canadian", complete with everybody being implausibly nice to each other and an abundance of maple syrup.
  • N-Word Privileges: Randall pretends to be a black person in front of his blind wife as an excuse to say the word.
Randall: Oh, here comes Black Pepper. Now he's African-American, so it's okay if he uses the "N" word. [in a black guy's voice] Hey, hey, hey. Where's my money, ni-
Karen: Get out of here, Black Pepper!
  • Parody Episode: Dusty and Hopson's side plot goes all out with making a Dukes of Hazzard parody, with Dusty playing Boss Hogg, Hopson playing Enos, and Robby and Delbert playing the old duke boys.
  • Rule 34: Gina makes a joke about all of the erotic fanart people have made of her.
Gina: Everyone has a crush on me. Have you not Googled "Paradise PD Erotic Fanart"?
    [Don't Google That Shit]
  • The Teetotaler: Dusty is revealed to have never drank any beer in his entire life. However, this changes in the end, when Robby and Delbert shove some beer up his ass and force him to consume it anally.
  • Temporary Blindness: Karen goes blind after drinking Robby and Delbert's disgusting moonshine. This becomes a problem when Randall signs her up for driving a school bus full of children.
  • Voice Changeling: Randall puts on a ton of different voices to trick his blind wife into thinking there are other people around, all as a ploy to get her to stop drinking.
