Tropes

  • Bait-and-Switch: We see what looks like Kevin in disguise claiming to be a lost king of Switzerland being robbed by Robby and Delbert. However, he turns out to be the real deal and not Kevin.
  • Big "NO!": Randall gives one after finding out that the original statue was one of Dean Hancock fucking his mom. By replacing only Dean Hancock's head, it now shows Randall fucking his own mother.
  • Blackface: Inverted. Fitz's disguise is a Caucasian person named "Beans Stinkwater". Fitz portrays him by masquerading in whiteface and dancing around, like a stereotypical country singer, singing "Buffalo Gals" and throwing confetti everywhere.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: This episode has tons of fourth wall jokes, which are allegedy caused by a hole in the fourth wall of the police department, caused by the nuclear explosion.
Randall: Wait, why are you shoving your billy club up my ass?
Gina: Because the writers have an ass fixation.
Randall: Yeah, we have got to get that fourth wall fixed.
  • Cassandra Truth: Karen doesn't believe Frank when he tells her that Dusty is shaking his restaurant down for free food.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: When the white kid throws a basketball at Bullet, you can see on the back of his fake Pokemon card is a picture of Sonichu.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Fitz retires The Legion of Dooooom and orders all of his former henchmen to give up evil and dedicate their lives to good. This episode follows Frank and Jerry specifically doing just that and opening a donut store for the good of humanity.
  • Hidden Depths: Hopson is shown to be an incredible basketball player.
Hopson: I'm so old, I've had the time to master everything. Basketball, blowjobs, ... okay maybe just those two things.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Karen does this to herself, assuming she has an extremely deep and masculine voice like Fitz.
Karen: Fitz, I need you to put on this Karen disguise and pretend to be me.
    Fitz: Say what, motherfucker?
Karen: Good job. You've already got the voice down.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Frank Flipperfist considers Fitz's half dog half dolphin son to be an abomination, but considers his equally grotesque half dolphin half-human son Jerry to be beautiful and perfect.
  • I Banged Your Mom: Hancock torments Randall every Christmas by sending him cards of him fucking his mom up the ass.
  • Jerkass: Dusty becomes this, robbing Frank and Jerry's donut store for free food.
  • Mutants: This episode marks the debut of Clovis and his army of mutants, who used to be normal people before being mutated by the nuclear bombing of Paradise.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Randall wakes up doing the same thing all 49-year-old men do. Checking Kylie Jenner's Instagram.
Randall: Ooh, brushing her teeth in stilettos and a dish glove. Oh, so woke.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Fitz wears tons of these to protect himself from the mutants.
  • Running Gag: Throughout the episode, Fitz is forced to wear disguises, with each new disguise worn on top of the old one. No one sees though them at all.
  • Take That!: Kendall Jenner is portrayed as a celebrity who'll do anything for money.
  • Trial Balloon Question: Karen sends one of these out, when asking the mutants what would happen if Fitz wasn't in prison.
Clovis: We, the mutants, demands to know what happened to Gerald Fitzgerald, the man who put us in this mutated state!
Karen: Uh, what if I said I pardoned him?
Clovis: I don't know. I'd probably puke acid in your face and kill you.
Karen: Oh. Then I did not pardon him.
  • Witness Protection: Karen puts Fitz in witness protection to keep him safe from the mutants.
