Our heroes "Gotchanko-t" attacked by Geryon's very own Moon Malgam!
They managed to defeat it with the aid of Gotchard Daybreak, only for it to return in mere moments!
Moreover, the Alchemist Academy's Professor Minato suddenly appeared alongside the Three Dark Sisters!
After expelling Houtaro and his friends with the intention of erasing their memories, he transformed into Dread and seized Valvarad's Chemy Cards!

Following Minato's betrayal, the former students are lost on what to do. Remembering Daybreak saying he's not strong enough though, Houtaro decides to get help from the Rider to be more powerful, and in the process he's sucked into the past, where he learns a shocking secret.
Will his new power be enough to stop the Moon Malgam?
Tropes
- Bad Future: Gotchard Daybreak comes from one, where Geryon has won.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Fire Gotchard delivers a truly impressive one to the Moon Malgam, both in terms of the difference in power as well as Houtarou's own anger making him nearly as hot as the form itself. Not only does Gotchard quite literally beat the Malgam into the ground, he follows it up with a kick that goes for miles, burning Moon the entire time. To such a degree that its Healing Factor also burns out and cannot save it from being atomized.
- Foreshadowing: There are clues regarding Gotchard Daybreak's real identity:
- Gotchard Daybreak reminds Houtaro not to interact with his past. Sure enough, when Houtaro interacts with his past self, Gotchard Daybreak is shown wimpering in pain due to the interaction.
- After Houtaro's Curb-Stomp Battle, Gotchard Daybreak is shown saying "Way to go, ''Ore''." Ore (俺) literally means "I/me", so Gotchard Daybreak is referencing himself.
- Lastly, Gotchard Daybreak says "Gotcha", the only other person saying the catchphrase is Houtaro himself.
- Future Self Reveal: Gotchard Daybreak reveals himself to the audience as Houtaro from an alternate future. However, he actively avoids revealing himself to his past self or their allies.
- Heroic BSoD:
- Minato's betrayal has greatly impacted the students' morale, and Renge even wants to stop being an alchemist.
- Hotaro also gains one as well, losing his motivation to befriend the Chemies.
- Internal Reveal:
- Houtaro learns what Geryon looks like as he and the Dark Sisters explore the Ouroboros Realm.
- Houtaro also learns of the existence of the Malice Dolls after he defeats the Moon Malgam.
- Never the Selves Shall Meet: Present day Houtaro making direct physical contact with his 7-year old self causes harm to Timelord, eventually causing Houtaro to be forced back to his own time with the damage being too severe. It also explains why Gotchard Daybreak stays in armor all the time.
- The Reveal:
- Not only was Houtaro friends with Hopper1 as a child, he was also friends with Steamliner and knew certain Chemies, AND had been to the Ouroboros Realm. His memories were erased by Fuga after seeing Geryon trying to find the Gotchardriver.
- Geryon manipulated the memories of the Alchemists' Union higher-ups to make them think Fuga stole the Chemies and spirited them away.
- Fuga didn't choose Houtaro to wield the Gotchardriver at random, given that he knew Houtaro would be an ideal candidate based on his friendship with the Chemies.
- Gotchard Daybreak is Houtaro from a future where Geryon has won, with the present Houtaro getting close to finding out after hearing Gotchard Daybreak say "Gotcha."
- Rule of Symbolism: With his only mentor figure gone, Houtaro loses his motivation of befriending all Chemies, reflected by another teacher instructing him to fill out his blank career form. After renewing his motivation with a new "gotcha" in mind, Houtaro later fills out said form with "being the greatest alchemist".
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Moon tries to frantically portal away from the battle to avoid Fire Gotchard's SteamHopper Burning Fever. Emphasis on tries, because given Gotchard had revved up his engine to hypersonic levels he had about a half second window to actually do so.
- Something Only They Would Say: Gotchard Daybreak saying "Gotcha" clues present-day Hotaro as to who Daybreak really is.
- Start My Own:
- Houtaro invokes this trope when he refuses the Gotcharigniter Daybreak offers him, claiming that if he just accepts help all the time he cannot grow stronger by himself, and suggests to make his own Gotcharigniter instead. Daybreak accepts this, and sends him to the past to find the special item he needs to transmute into one.
- Houtaro, Rinne, Renge and Sabimaru decide to form their own group of alchemists dedicated to gathering the Chemies, stopping Geryon and the Dark Sisters, and rescuing Minato. They're called the "Kitchen Ichinose Alliance" due to being founded in said restaurant.
- Un-person: As a result of his Face–Heel Turn, all traces of Minato being a teacher at the school has been erased. The former Alchemy students still remember him as they still have their alchemy rings on them.
