The main characters are all hanging around, not doing much, when Calvin starts worrying that a villain will come along and ruin the moment. He and Hobbes debate this for a bit, before the MTM shows up. He complains about being bored of his abilities, and suggests Calvin install a new one. After a bit of thinking, Calvin comes up with the ability to send people inside computers.
A while later, Calvin tests the new feature - and it works! Heading home satisfied, the feeling of joy is shattered when the MTM is reduced to speaking in word salads, concerning Hobbes.
The next day, Socrates reveals that he finally signed up for MySpace, and has somehow invited every single member to be his friend. Hobbes then confides his concerns about the MTM to him, and he doesn't think much of it.
Not long after, Calvin finds out that he downloaded a virus onto the MTM, and when the anti-virus software he chose doesn't do a whole lot, he decides to go in and delete it himself.
Later, after everyone's assembled, the boys enter the MTM... except for Hobbes, who stepped out of range and thus remains in the real world. Nonplussed, Calvin heads onwards, going through the various bits of the MTM with the help of Hobbes.
They find the virus, but their attempts to kill it fail, and only get Calvin, Socrates, and Andy stuck to it. With nothing to do, the protagonists just wait... until the MTM comes back online, having reorganized some stuff to reactivate his voice chip. He frees the boys and teleports them back into reality.
With everything solved, Calvin and Hobbes begin to relax once again, and the MTM gets a message from Socrates asking him to join MySpace and friend him. He would, but he's got more stuff to do on Facebook.
