It's time for the peace conference with the Crocodile Kingdom, but due to Clover's paranoid and detailed warnings about what might happen if things go wrong, Julien doesn't go and wants to send a body double instead. Clover has just the person in mind, but Julien is offended by the perfectly identical Magic Steve and wants Sage Moondancer to be his double instead, only relenting when Sage becomes badly injured.
Magic Steve however, tired of being a nobody only known for looking like Julien, has other ideas and tries to off Julien so that he can take his place as king.
Tropes:
- Body Double
- Brief Accent Imitation: Both Clover and Magic Steve imitate Julien's voice, and in both cases Julien constantly complains "I don't sound like that".
- Continuity Nod: Not sure if Julien is Julien, Clover asks to look at his butt. Julien thinks she's flirting with him, but she's actually looking for the scar he got from being bit by fossa.
- Contrived Coincidence: Steve tries to kill Julien by shoving him off a cliff, but he landed on a trampoline Ted and Dorothy had hid at the bottom to practice trampoline dancing in secret.
- Deus Exit Machina: Upon Julien, Clover and Sage arriving on the scene, Sage is dropped on Clover's tail and then passes out, pinning Clover to the ground and forcing Julien to face Steve himself.
- Epic Fail: Sage tries to use the water slide and fails so badly he has to be put in a full body cast. The judges give his performance 0, -0 and "Ouch".
- Happy Place: A badly injured Sage goes into a deep meditative state as an alternative to medication to cope with the pain.
- Identical Stranger: Steve the ring-tailed lemur. Or "Magic Steve" as he prefers.
- Insistent Terminology: Steve prefers to be called "Magic Steve" and re-titles himself the Magic King while impersonating Julien.
- Imposter Forgot One Detail: Steve outs himself by not being completely disgusted by Mort's affections.

- Malicious Misnaming: Julien doesn't like the name "Magic Steve" and decides to start calling him "Soy Sauce" instead, much to Steve's annoyance.Julien: Seriously Soy Sauce, you are so terrible at magic!
Steve: THAT'S NOT MY NAME!! - Saw a Woman in Half: When Maurice discovers Steve's identity, he has him tied up and plans to eliminate him by actually cutting Maurice in half.
- Shaped Like Itself: Julien and Sage's secret body double distress signal.Julien: It goes like this: HEEEEEELP!Clover: Well that's, um... literal.
- Ship Tease:Clover: Turn around and show me your butt.Julien: What, I- Oh, Clover, we don't have time for...Clover: (Grabbing Julien by the tail) Yep, that's the scar.
- Smoke Out: Steve seems to think his smoke bombs just make him invisible as he does not do anything else besides throw them.
- Spot the Imposter: Even Mort can't tell their feet apart, although the noticeable difference between the two is the crown does not sit straight on Steve's head, several times it falls off and he has to put it back in place.
- Stage Magician: Steve fancies himself one, but is really bad at it. Part of his reason for stealing Julien's position is so that he can use the power to force people to watch and pretend to like his magic tricks.
- Visual Pun: The Crocodile King starts crying profusely at even the slightest incident; he's crying crocodile tears.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Steve tries to swallow live scorpions as a magic trick, but this causes him to vomit them back up.
