The point of divergence is Qanon emerging not as a Far-right movement, but as a far-left movement resulting from dissatisfaction from Hillary Clinton being chosen over Bernie Sanders in the 2016 democratic primary. This goes on to radically alter Trump's presidency and subsequently, the 2020 election.
Over the course of four years, the Democratic party becomes more and more radical in its ideology, message, and methods of spreading said ideology and message, outright surpassing even the furthest right in the Republican party in terms of extremism and radicalism.
This scenario provides examples of:
- Adaptational Villainy: The Democrats, Oh so very much.
- Apocalypse Cult: Qism, the aptly named religion supporters of Qanon follow, is this. Q claims to be the embodiment of the Celtic War Goddess, the Morrigan, and the chaos and violence brought about by her followers befits her title as a war Goddess.
- Apocalypse How: The United States goes through a class 0 apocalypse when Qanon supporters start committing acts of terrorism and violently rioting across the country. This spreads to the rest of the world following the Summer of rage and the Day of the Morrigan, a supernatural astronomical anomaly caused by Q which brainwashed people in the rest of the world. It escalates to class 1 with World War III and the nuclear bombardment of the Eastern Alliance member nations.
- The Antichrist: Q's Christian critics decry her as this.
- Bullying a Dragon: Donald Trump's behavior and antics do not differ from OTL. However, due to Q and her supporters posing a serious threat, they ultimately amount to this.
- Dark Messiah: Q, assuming the form of the Celtic War Goddess the Morrigan, is this.
- Despair Event Horizon: The Republican establishment and millions of right-wing Americans cross this when Q is elected president.
- Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Trump orders the CIA to kill George Floyd in an attempt to piss off Q. This results in the Summer of rage, a more intense version of the George Floyd Riots and the Day of the Morrigan, a supernatural astronomical event that causes Q's international support to skyrocket.
- Downer Ending: Q takes over the world and enslaves the entire human population
- Dying Declaration of Hate: When Q orders the massacre of what few Congressional Republicans that weren't voted off during the congresspersons certification of the election, multiple congresspersons lash out at Trump.Kevin McCarthy: FUCK YOU, TRUMP! THANKS TO YOU, THIS BITCH IS GOING TO GET US ALL KILLED!"
- Enemy Mine:
- Q's declaration of "being the only God with Qism being the true religion" causes followers of all religions, as well as atheists and agnostics to band together to try to stop Q. Some examples include Christian fundamentalists and Militant atheists working together to try and stop Qanon supporters from attacking churches, as well as a Christian fundamentalist group defending a Sikh Temple from attack by Qheads.
- Israel and its Arab neighbors make peace and cease hostilities with one another on the grounds that Q is a bigger threat. Saudi Arabia and Iran issue a truce with one another on similar grounds.
- Esoteric Motifs: Qanon ITTL is a fusion of far-left political ideology and neopagan/wiccan religious ideology. Q is eventually revealed to be an apparition of the Morrigan, a Celtic war Goddess.
- Even Evil Has Standards:
- The Republicans, barring Trump, actually end up having the better morals of the two parties as the timeline moves forward, condemning Qanon and decrying the Democrats under Q's influence for crossing lines even they wouldn't, this is especially seen when Republicans decry terror attacks on Christians and condemning violence carried out by Qheads.
- The West's traditional enemies, including China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are horrified by the oppressive nature of Q's control over the United States and its allied nations.
- Despite all the atrocities Q commits, she actually enacts a socially and economically progressive agenda as president, codifying reproductive rights, LGBTQ Rights, cannabis Legalization, and more.
- Evil Counterpart: Q is this to Richard Ojeda from Upon a Cross of Trumpism. While both of them are progressive Democrats, Q is far more malevolent with her intentions and means of accomplishing her goals.
- Face–Heel Turn: The timeline centers around the Democratic Party doing this. The Democrats gradually become even worse than the Republicans in terms of extremism thanks to Qanon, with members committing violence against Christians and and taking part in acts of domestic terrorism. Even Donald Trump is genuinely concerned with how violent they've become.
- Final Solution: Q and her allies' implementation of this targets Christians, Muslims, non-religious people, and anyone with even slightly right-wing views. This is later expanded to target Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, and other religious groups as Q begins to demand everyone worship her and her alone.
- For Want Of A Nail: Qanon emerges as a far-left movement sparked by anger over Bernie Sanders losing the democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton, instead of the far-right conspiracy theory it was in OTL.
- Hope Spot: during World War III, the Eastern Alliance appears to have the upper hand, taking over a good portion of Europe and Asia, even being viewed as Liberators by the highly religious populations that rose up and helped them. Sadly, Q was simply lulling them into a false sense of security and superiority, and upon getting bored with them in summer 2022, she destroyed them with nuclear weapons.
- In Spite of a Nail: The 2016 election goes as IOTL. However, Trump's victory is not met with the outrage it was in OTL due to Q's rising prominence and her accusing Clinton and Trump of working together to snuff Sanders out electorally.
- Landslide Election: The 2020 Presidential election sees Q claiming 477 electoral votes as a result of the NPVIC. As time goes on Qanon supporters overthrow multiple state governments, the governments superseding them replacing Trump's electoral votes for votes for Q. the governors of Tennessee and South Dakota also throw out their states' original results and give Q the victory in their respective states. After Qanon supporters massacre all remaining Congressional Republicans, Q is Declared the winner in all 50 states by Congressional Democrats.
- Oppressive States of America: After the Wrath of the Morrigan, America under Q becomes a totalitarian state that makes even states like North Korea, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union and Pol Pot's Cambodia look downright tolerant in comparison. Basically, if you oppose Q in any way, be it politically or religiously, your life will be extremely miserable.
- Right-Wing Militia Fanatic: Inverted, Q's supporters are staunch leftists. While there is some right-wing violence, it pales in comparison to Qanon-backed violence
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: right before she's killed, GOP representative Nancy Mace calls out Q and her supporters on their hypocrisy"You claim to be for the people, for democracy, but you only act to install Q as your dictator and god-empress. You're no better than the "theocratic fascists" you claim to fight. You will be damned for your hypocrisy and lies"
- Too Dumb to Live: Donald Trump's personality and behavior does not change at ALL in spite of Q and her followers posing a grave threat to him, going so far as to order the CIA to orchestrate the death of George Floyd just to piss her off. Even when losing by a cataclysmically wide margin, Trump still insists he won, as per OTL, which only adds fuel to the fire and speeds up the demise of the Republican party. By the time he actually accepts the reality of the situation and acknowledges his overwhelming defeat, it's too late.
- Utopia Justifies the Means: Q and her supporters cause mass violence and chaos leading up to the election, remove Trump by force so Q can become president sooner, massacre the Congressional GOP, take over every nearly western-aligned country, and round up every single religious and political dissident into re-education camps, all in the name of fighting "oligarchic Christofascism" and establishing a progressive utopia.
