Many fans guess right on what will happen in Miraculous Ladybug.
- Let's just say not very many people were surprised when the Season 2 premier, "The Collector", revealed that Gabriel Agreste, the father of Adrien/Cat Noir was secretly the show's Big Bad, Hawk Moth. Not only do the two characters share a voice actor, but there was also additional foreshadowing in their scenes often being juxtaposed with each other, and Hawk Moth owning a pendant containing a portrait of a woman who seems to look remarkably like Adrien's mother.
- That Chloé's mom used to be a major figure in her life, but left, as heavily implied in "Despair Bear".
- Many headcanoned Bee Chloé's heroine name as Queen Bee.
- Similarly, Fox Alya had been named Rena Rouge by fan artist portentous-offerings
, and fic writer imthepunchlord. Both fans came up with the name separately before "Sapotis" made it official. - Turtle Nino was a popular headcanon that became canon in Season 2.
- The top two theories as to Mayura's identity were Nathalie Sancoeur and Emilie Agreste. "Mayura" not only has Nathalie take up the role temporarily, but also implies that Emilie took up the role in the past.
- A popular theory was that the majority of Marinette and Adrien's class would become Miraculous users. "Timetagger" supported this theory with a future version of Alix using the Rabbit Miraculous, and "Party Crasher" further implied this would be true with the debut of Kim as King Monkey and Max as Pegasus (though the latter's actual debut would happen in an episode that would air later). Season Four confirmed this; by the end of the season, Lila and present-day Alix are the only members of their class to not have a Miraculous. This changes in the season 5: The first episode "Evolution" where young Alix gets her Miraculous and the penultimate episode "Recreation" where Lila acquired the Butterfly Miraculous.
- After it was revealed that Luka would use the Snake Miraculous, the theory that Kagami would use the Dragon Miraculous became popular. Then Zag revealed through a picture on Instagram that showed she would.
- Many called early on that Chloé would become a villain. Many also called that she would prove unworthy of using the Bee Miraculous.
- Similarly, people called that her place as the Bee hero would be taken by her sister.
- Many people correctly guessed that "Reflekdoll" would be the episode where the two main heroes swap Miraculous after the updated description said they would have trouble with them. They were also right about this episode involving Mayura and explaining her appearance in "Miraculer", which aired earlier in the season.
- A long-standing fan theory held that the Miraculouses' powers included a Glamour preventing people from recognizing their holders while in costume. "Miraculous New York" confirmed this and used it as a plot point.
- After "Desperada" implied that Jagged Stone and Anarka Couffaine used to be a couple, many fans theorized that Jagged is Luka and Juleka's father, which is confirmed in "Truth."
- Many guesses for the remaining Zodiac Miraculous users that were revealed in Season 4 were correct. These were Mylène, Rose, Juleka, Sabrina, and Ivan becoming the Mouse, Pig, Tiger, Dog, and Ox heroes respectively. People also guessed that Nathaniel and Marc would use the Rooster and Goat Miraculous, although that turned out to be the other way round.
- The reason why the guesses for Mylène, Rose and Juleka are correct is because of a Freeze-Frame Bonus in the intro were the girls were pictured next to stickers representing their Miraculous' animal. The rest were just lucky guesses.
- It couldn't reasonably have gone any other way, but many people did manage to guess even before the episode names were revealed that the first episode of season 5 would be about Gabriel trying to use the Rabbit Miraculous to save Emilie through time, only to be thwarted and lose it for good. Some also guessed the particular detail that it would involve the Burrow, being a Place Beyond Time, having only one instance no matter who is using it or when.
- As stated above, Adrien and Félix have been all but confirmed to be sentimonsters, echoing an infamous yet popular fan theory.
- Won't Tell a Soul features Hawk Moth using a Sword Cane. The sequel has Nino receiving the Turtle Miraculous. Both ultimately became canon.
- It's become popular in fanart to draw an akumatized version of Cat Noir, with the generally accepted name "Cat Blanc" ("White Cat" in French). Later, when the season three episode list was released, one of the episode titles turned out to be "Cat Blanc", with the episode description that Ladybug would be fighting an akumatized Cat Noir.
