Heartwarming / Alexa Bliss

Go To

  • Her speech to Bayley may have been fake on-screen, but the words were clearly genuine — saying what she accomplished was incredible and that no one deserved to be champion more. While Alexa Bliss the character was using that to fool Bayley, it's clear that Lexi Kaufman the person was giving a heartfelt speech to a good friend.
  • When she is drafted to SmackDown, she momentarily breaks character and cries Tears of Joy.
  • Her first Talking Smack after winning the Smackdown Women's Championship, where she's clearly out of character and visibly overwhelmed by her win. Notably, SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, normally her Arch-Enemy on air, says the whole moment is "beautiful".
  • Her appearance on My Daughter is a WWE Superstar, particularly her obvious closeness to her parents (they even moved to Florida with her when she began training at the Performance Centre) and the fact she overcame life-threatening anorexia to achieve all that she has in WWE.
  • Being paired with unstoppable six-foot-eight superbeast Braun Strowman in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge and becoming perhaps the first person to make the big, angry bastard happy.
  • After winning the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match and retaining her championship title, Alexa cut a truly heartwarming promo, telling the WWE Universe that her victory was in honor of every woman and little girl in the audience who had ever dreamed big. She then immediately undercut the moment by telling them all that they would never achieve their dreams, staying true to her heel character. Still, the raw emotion in her voice, coupled with the fact that she was choking back tears the whole time, implied that Lexi Kaufman the person didn't really mean that.
  • Though fans are understandably on high alert for a betrayal, Alexa's onscreen friendship with Nikki Cross has been nothing short of Adorkable. While there was an element of Alexa's usual manipulations toward the start, it became clear over time that the two are actually very fond of each other, with Nikki going to lengths to defend her (admittedly very flawed) friend and Alexa never failing to crack perfectly legitimate smiles in her company in spite of continuing to be a ruthless, ambitious schemer otherwise.
  • Her reunion with Nikki after a bad shoulder injury took Alexa out of action for two months. From the thunderous hero's pop Alexa received once her music hit, to the explosive beatdown she leveled on Fire & Desire for attacking her friend, to the rib-crushing hug Alexa and Nikki shared after the fact, the whole moment is a warm embrace for the heart.
  • A bit of an IRL one, but with the two-year anniversary of the Bowling for Soup song "Alexa Bliss", lead singer Jaret Reddick posted on social media the origin story of how the song came to be; long-story-short, his kid was a fan of wrestling and after realising that Alexa was a fan of his music, he reached out. She responded, he gave her free merchandise, she hooked him and his family with back-stage WWE access, he brought her along for a concert performance of "Girl All the Bad Guys Want", and eventually they made the song. He now openly refers to her as a friend and they're evidently now both mutually big fans of one-another. Quite a sweet case of Ascended Fanboy.
