General

• Nick reads Go the Fuck to Sleep.
• Most of Nyx and Nick's Review -A Christmas Horror Story mostly consists of them absolutely shredding the film in question, complete with exaggerated graphics and text overlay reminiscent of JonTron. The subplot where Nyx receives a potato as a Christmas gift and questions the choices which led her to that point in life deserves special mention.
  • The fact that Nick is prompted by the events of the film to say "Oh my god, look at that buff-ass Krampus."
  • Meanwhile, Nyx's response to the Krampus is that it "looks like a Power Rangers villain."
• Nick's frustration with how many requests he had to review Welcome to Night Vale due to its accidental similarity to his show... shortly before he reveals he's apparently being menaced by the Glow Cloud and various other Night Vale inhabitants, then meeting his far more positive Mirror Universe self to contrast with the Caustic Critic he's been playing.
• While working on the Cry of Mann video, Nick tweeted, "The lemon muffins are in the oven!"

• Nick's SCP Foundation Starter Tour is part of their outreach initiative... after he's exposed a lot of their intel publicly twice. There's a lot of Black Comedy from Nick being very obviously held at the Foundation's gunpoin- Er, cheerfully extols the virtues of his employers.
• His April Fool's 2021 video. Having lost all his money in the GameStop short sale insanity, Nick becomes a streamer and plays Minecraft. Likely for the first time too.

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared

• Seeing Nick in puppet form as a four-eyed black cat. Ascended Fanon has never been more adorable. He comments that he misses having eyelids.
• The Running Gag of the microphone puppet appearing to try and hijack the video. Nick's puppet expressions also show how unamused he is.
• Nick reacts to Mikey the Microphone's first interruption with a very deadpan, "Nope. Not doing it. I know exactly where that was going."
• Some of the ways in which Nick tries to get rid of Mikey the Microphone include throwing a roll of duct tape at him, throwing him in the trash can, and eventually duct-taping him into a box.
• Mikey at one point accuses Nick of being a Hypocrite and produces his hand puppet of Nick. "Meow meow meow, I'm Nick Nocturne!"
• After tossing the microphone puppet away after it accuses him of being a Hypocrite (by telling the audience about DHMIS' In-Universe discouraging of independent thought), Nick does a Face Palm and asks the audience if they believe that he's telling them what to think.

Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story

• In general, Nick being Not So Stoic and angrily ranting about all the problems with the film. Also doubles as a Moment of Awesome.
• Just to show how much O.O.C. Is Serious Business, Nick starts the video with a long-suffering groan.
• "It has as much to do with Marble Hornets as beehives do with the making of Cheerios!"
• He points out the obvious: "found footage" needs to be found, and the movie fails at that basic rule.

How to Make A Web Series

Green Path

• Lampshaded when Nick proposes a scenario where the viewer hears a Rihanna song and creates an entire scenario around the initials "S" and "M." He admits inspiration can sometimes be really goofy.
• When making the analogy about fishing for ideas, he says sometimes you come up with a jellyfish and you're not sure how to cook it.

Yellow Path

• After telling a bone-chilling premise for a horror series inspired by Everyman HYBRID, as an example of how to become inspired by an established work, he admits that he is a "sadistic bastard" for coming up with such an idea on the spot.

My Dad's Tapes

• Nick really turns up the snark while covering this series, culminating in him calling the main character a "wiener."
• Nick bursts out laughing at the margarita scene. His editing of the scene only adds to the humour.

Boomtown: The Greatest Immersive Event in the World

• Not the video itself, but the fact that it got sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends. People went crazy in the comments.

JustAcquaintances: Forgotten Found Footage Webseries

• Nick starts to get snarky when the quality of the series starts to go downhill, culminating in a "You Used to Be Better" Speech at the end of part 2. He points out that the series started off good and that the creators did so well with it, but then it started going into narmy melodrama, started having nonsensical production decisions (like a fake detective showing up, characters acting suspicious for no reason, and dropping David after building him up as suspicious), ultimately culminating in the main character Nick getting beaten with a bat by a cult member and kicked like a football. He also points out that some various Christmas decorations were shown in videos that weren't set in December.
  "You were doing a hell of a routine on a balance beam, tried something fancy, pulled a muscle, and you Charlie Horsed yourself right into the floor! That didn't need to happen... You were better than that!"

Abandoned: A Mystery Game Spirals Out of Control

• While the video is pretty straitlaced for most of its runtime, there's something truly funny about the way Nick's signature calm begins to erode halfway through as he points out the increasing absurdity of the given backstory for the eponymous game.
