  • Scarlet Overkill telling the minions a bedtime story of which she reads in a sweet voice only to suddenly explode at the end.
Scarlet: Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. One fateful day, the pigs encountered a big, bad wolf who had a wonderful surprise for them. The wolf offered the three piggies and all their friends a job working for her. Everyone would be so happy. All the three little piggies had to do was just steal one little crown that the beautiful wolf had wanted ever since she was a penniless little street cub, unloved and abandoned. But that crown would mean she was a princess, and everybody loves a princess. So, the wolf sent the piggies to get that crown. But the little pigs weren't up to the challenge; they failed their mission. So the wolf huffed, and puffed, and she BLEW THEM OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!! [the wolf crushes the pigs with an anvil, a bathtub, a UFO with an alien in it, and a giant bomb] (back to sweet voice) The end.
    • The animation shift during the story - where everything looks stop-motion - adds to the twisted humor.
    • When the story's finished, Kevin and Stuart look at each other nervously, then at Bob who's snoring away and holding his teddy bear.
  • When Kevin, Stuart, and Bob are rowing their boat to land. All three are starving and Stuart starts to hallucinate Kevin, Bob, and Bob's teddy bear as bananas.
    Stuart: Banana?
(Kevin and Bob look at each other)
Kevin: Uh, Stuart? (asks if Stuart is alright in Minionese)
    Stuart: Banana! ...BANANA!!!
(Kevin and Bob scream and Stuart starts licking Kevin's face. Kevin then smacks Stuart around to make him stop when Bob starts to suck on Kevin's head)
    Kevin: Bob! Stoopa!
  • The Spa scene, in which Stuart goes in with only a thong. Once he's in the tub, he ends up making out with two yellow hydrants.
Stuart: Claire! Stephanie! Me bellas! Rawr. (starts kissing both of them)
  • "KING BOB!!!!!!!"
    • He then follows it with a long speech in Minionese, which leaves the audience confused. He yells "King Bob!" again and is once again met with applause.
    • The Mic Drop he does right after.
      • Said mic drop became a tool for a Gmail April Fools update, where it showed a gif of Bob dropping the mic and any replies could not be sent. This feature was retired since a man lost his job because he couldn’t send a reply after accidentally clicking it.
  • The deaths of all the Minions' previous masters, including a T-Rex (knocked off a cliff into lava), a caveman (mauled/eaten by a bear after he smacked it with a flyswatter), Napoleon (shot with a badly aimed cannon), a nameless king (slipped on a puddle of water, threw his sword into the air, and was impaled) and an Egyptian pharaoh (the Minions accidentally built his pyramid upside down and it fell over and crushed him). Especially when they kill a vampire by throwing him a surprise birthday party, and opening the curtains to add some light.
    Minion: *ahem* Oooo~
(Vampire wakes up and the Minions open the curtains and reveal a cake with a 357 candle and Happy Birthday banner)
    All Minions: Ta-daaaa!
(Vampire screams in agony and turns into stone)
Minion: Oh. Uh... (chuckles nervously and blows the candle out, while the vampire turns into dust and disappears)
    • Bonus points for Napoleon being barely taller than the Minions themselves.
  • Meeting the Nelsons, a reasonably normal Sixties family... that happily rob banks, get into shoot-outs with pursuing police, and encourage their daughter when she thinks she screwed up by tripping the alarm.
    • Even the discontented cat wears a ski mask during the hold-up.
    • During the ensuring police chase after the Nelsons rob a bank, one of the police cars rams the Nelsons' station wagon and cause them to swerve around in reverse. As the police wipe off the paint from their windshield that got there from Walter Sr. shooting at them, one of the cops does a visible Double Take as he sees a normal-looking sixties family in the car they're pursuing.
  • When we see Gru and his mom at Villain Con, they're watching Dr. Nefario using a freeze ray, accidentally freezing his own hand.
  • At the beginning, the minions emerge from the sea wearing grass skirts and goggles. One minion, Norbert, panics when he realizes he isn't wearing a skirt, runs back to the shoreline, sticks two starfish on his chest like a pair of pasties, and walks out.
Narrator: That's Norbert. He's an idiot.
  • When Scarlet is showing the minions around her mansion:
Scarlet: Steal me the crown, and all your dreams come true. Respect! Power!
    Stuart: BANANA!
    Scarlet: (short pause) Banana!
  • When Kevin, Stuart, and Bob suddenly encounter a group of guards on the way to stealing the crown, Stuart activates his hypno hat and hypnotizes them into singing and dancing to "Hair," complete with ripping their clothes off, slapping each other's backsides, and taking their caps off and spontaneously growing long hair!
  • "Gentlemen...do not...steal... LADIES'...CROWNS!!"
  • Queen Elizabeth drinking and arm-wrestling in a pub with other men.
  • Bob as a judge.
  • The ticket lady when the Minions first attempt to enter the tower:
Ticket Lady: You're not allowed in without an adult. SCRAM, HOOLIGANS!
  • At the House of Commons news broadcast, two spectators notice the camera and start goofing off behind the reporter.
  • When Scarlet is briefing the Minions:
Scarlet: (gesturing to a painting of Queen Elizabeth the Second) Do you know who this is?
Kevin: Uh... la cucharacha? (Spanish for "the cockroach")
  • Reaching Villain-Con in Orlando... and finding nothing but swampland and a tackle shop. Which is Truth in Television because in 1968 the theme parks and suburbs hadn't been built yet.
    • Typical for US movies, every other piece of geography is completely wrong and nonsensical.
  • When the rest of the Minions are getting to London, they are pursued out of the Arctic by a polar bear and appear to escape danger by getting on an iceberg. However, on the next continent, there's a grizzly bear waiting for them, forcing the minions to redirect the ice elsewhere.
  • The post-credit Dance Party Ending.
  • The Minions cover Hair, and the Universal fanfare
  • The fight with the old man guarding the crown, who despite being blind, deaf and elderly, nevertheless manages to kick their butts.
  • Kevin getting cornered inside Herb's invention when he was pursued by the mob of supervillains and accidentally pushing a Big Red Button with a note reading "Do not push this button!". He then bumps into a switch marked "Do not flip this switch", and a lever marked "Do not pull this lever". Thankfully, nothing happens, and Kevin sighs... right into a hole marked "Do not blow into this hole!" This activates the machine that turns Kevin into a giant and destroys Scarlet's castle.
    • Even the moment after Kevin was accidentally grown to giant size by Herb's machine, the supervillain mob that pursued him ran away in fear.
  • While waiting for Kevin, the minions meet a tribe of yetis and make them their new bosses. Just as Kevin calls them to go to London, they are serenading them with an elaborate musical number. One minion blows on a tuba too loudly, dislodging a large chunk of ice that falls on the head yeti. Cut to the minions running for their lives.
  • As giant Kevin is kissing all of his minion brethren, he randomly exclaims "Mazeltov!"
  • During the credits, we see the minions come across a portrait of Marlena (Gru's mother) and they decide to add their own touch to it. Quite a bit in fact. Gru himself comes along and the minions quickly back off, clearly afraid they're in trouble. Then Gru adds in his own bit of vandalism to the picture and starts making silly faces. The minions laugh too... until Marlena herself comes up behind Gru. The minions quickly start pointing at Gru.
  • Before the coronation, the British newscaster calls Bob "a bald, jaundiced child".
    • Queen Elizabeth's eye-roll as she gives Bob her crown.
  • Bob sings "Auld Lang Syne" when he has to say goodbye to a rat he befriended.
  • Scarlet's Dramatic Entrance into Buckingham Palace being spoilt by an (accidental) Corgi to the face.
