Izuku Midoriya wanted two things in his life. To be a hero, and to find love. But in a world where 80% have an amazing superpower called a Quirk, he was one of the unlucky 20% without one. And not only that, he has experienced 100 rejections in his short life. Then two things happen that change his life forever. First is an encounter with the Buddha of Love, who reveals that he accidentally gave him 100 soulmates. Yes, really. And then he has a chance encounter with his idol, the Number 1 Hero All Might!

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love Deku! is a crossover fic by Brypops between My Hero Academia and The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You where, as the title suggest, Izuku Midoriya is the one to gain 100 girlfriends during his time at U.A.

This story contains examples of:

  • Adaptational Jerkass: Shoka Aizawa. In canon, Aizawa only ever insinuated the quirk apprehension test was to get a baseline for the Quirks of his students, and only openly added the clause of expelling anyone without "potential" after hearing the students say the tests looked "fun", keeping to himself his disapproval of Izuku from the Entrance Exam up until the ball throw, as well as the detail that the "expulsion" was a glorified scare-tactic. Here, Shoka makes clear from the very outset that the "test" is her way of weeding out anyone she considers not meeting her standards, with Izuku realizing quickly that she's referring to him in particular from the very beginning, and is quick to threaten expulsion unprompted and for any reason. This of course easily earns her the ire of Ochako, Katsumi, and Eiko due to her treatment of Izuku, with the former two actually threatening Shoka to her face when it looks like she's about to expel Izuku, only relenting when Shoka claims it was always a "logical ruse".
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • In canon, Izuku and Katsuki's relationship starts off rocky and toxic at the beginning of the series, before they gradually return to being somewhat friendly. Here, Katsumi is far friendlier with Izuku (albeit in a tsundere way) and becomes his first girlfriend, along with Ochako.
    • Canonically, Aizawa's relationship with his students on the first day of class was one based on fear and intimidation, largely due to his threat of expelling the lowest ranking student in the quirk apprehension exam. Here, Shoka quickly gains the ire of Katsumi, Ochako, and Eiko for her singling out Izuku from the beginning, and later the ire of Izuku for her restraining Katsumi when she went to defend him.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Someone with eight arms once tried to bully Izuku by throwing his notebook into a fountain. Katsumi retaliated on his behalf and now he only has seven arms.
  • Composite Character:
    • Izuku is one to Rentarou Aijou, being a Love Freak who got rejected 100 times.
    • Katsumi and Ochako are ones to Karane Inda and Hakari Hanazono respectively, being the first and second girlfriends of the protagonist, Ochako being a sweet girl and the one he first feels Love at First Sight with, and Katsumi being a blonde tsundere who has issues expressing her feelings.
    • Momo gets combined with Hahari (for the Cuteness Proximity and Uncle Pennybags elements) and Nano (being The Stoic and a Schedule Fanatic).
  • Funny Background Event: While Eiko is checking up on Izuku following the quirk apprehension exam, Katsumi and Mashirao are in the midst of debating whether beating a Karate Grandmaster nets you a blackbelt, with the others acting as commentators and referees for the debate.
  • Gender Flip: Considering the premise of the series being Izuku having 100 soulmates, it's only inevitable that several of the guys in canon are girls here to fill out the headcount. This includes Kirishima and Bakugo, the former being Eiko Kirishima, and the latter being Katsumi Bakugo. Outside of the (confirmed) soulmates, this also includes Iida, Tokoyami, Todoroki, and Aizawa, the latter now being Shoka Aizawa.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • Despite their much better relationship compared to canon, Katsumi still calls Izuku "Deku", and has been since they were kids. However, it's less of an insult than it is in canon.
    • Even if they have different team-mates, Izuku and Katsumi still face each other in the Heroes vs Villains combat. And Izuku's costume still gets ripped.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Izuku's, Katsumi's and Ochako's first kiss is a three-way kiss similar to that of between Rentarou, Hakari and Karane.
    • Iida's comment on why the Heroes vs Villains pairings are random is similar to the one Izuku made when Iida asked about it in canon.
  • Polyamory: Given the source material, it's to be expected. The first chapter ends with this between Izuku, Katsumi, and Ochako, while the third chapter adds Eiko. Momo gets added in the fifth chapter. And there are 96 more to add.
