The main story centers around a human named Isaac who seems to have lost his way...until he meets a human named Susan, who would change his life forever. As you can see, Susan isn't a human at all - she's an alien. She then takes the curious human to a distant planet where he discovers that he's the one who determines the future of humanity. Along the way, he meets more female aliens who would make up the titular "valkyries".
The comic (and to an extent, the franchise) places the focus on a Matriarchy known as the Star Dragon Dynasty (which is also where the real-life imprint gets its name from).
The webcomic started production on November 1st, 2016 with a possible release in 2018.
Tropes:
- Aliens in Cardiff: The first part of the story takes place in Baltimore, Maryland, and there are aliens living among them, much like Men in Black, but without The Men in Black.
- This would later be subverted and zig-zagged as the story goes on, as aliens are everywhere.
- All Myths Are True: Exaggerated. All of the mythologies from every known civilization in history is true, only that they came from among the stars. This clearly maes for a Crossover Cosmology.
- On top of that, the Ancient Astronauts theory is also true in this universe.
- Animesque: The art style is somewhat reminiscent of "semi-realistic" anime.
- Author Avatar: Isaac/Ike, is based on the creator (As you might guess, he's also the namesake).
- Boldly Coming: Ike screws around with some of the female aliens. Somewhat zig-zagged, when some of them are more like big sisters.
- Genre Throwback: Mainly to such Space Opera titles that you might recognize.
- This is also a throwback to all the nostalgic cartoons that those involved grew up with.
- Green-Skinned Space Babe: Well, duh! The human gets with seven of them!
- Loads and Loads of Races: Law and his team have developed an abundance of alien species.
- Royal Harem: Somewhat.
