Winter-Rae was one of the most prolific fan fic writers in the Total Drama fandom, and also writes stories in other fandoms. She is best known for Crack Pairing, and is sometimes called "The Queen of Fanon" for her influence on the Total Drama fanfic-writing community. Her first one-shot appeared in early November 2008; the most recent available one is from 2012. Many TD fanfiction writers from that period credit and mention her, as she has been a big influence in all kinds of Fanon, as well as writing positive, kind-hearted stories that influence many others.

Winter's favorite and best-known couples that she has inspired are "LeDunca" (Leshawna and Duncan), "Bridgold" (Bridgette and Harold), and "Gwyler" (Gwen and Tyler). She has written many other couples as well, for in her own words she "[sees] pairings in everything."

Her fanfiction profile is here, where you can read all of her work.

This Author invokes the following tropes:

  • Berserk Button - One of the very few ways to get on Winter-Rae's nerves is to make Leshawna a villain or Out of Character; it was her primary reason for hating Total Drama Action.
  • Creator's Favorite: Leshawna is her favorite character in the series, so it's no surprise how prominent she is in her works and why she hates how the character was depicted in Action.
  • Creator Thumbprint - Her favorite pairing, Leshawna/Duncan, is in almost every single story she has done. Practically the only exceptions are when she writes a request that pairs them with someone else.
    • All of her stories focus on non-canon couples; occasionally she'll have a canon side pairing, but they're pretty rare.

  • Fix Fic - Her longest story, "I'm On Your Side," is a remake of Total Drama Action that mostly focused on Gwen/Tyler. She eventually deleted it, however.
  • Friendship Moment - Plenty.
  • Hurt/Comfort Fic - Only the latter, and it's one of her specialties.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold - Duncan, in many of her stories.
  • Odd Friendship - Eva and Bridgette are usually friends in her stories, despite the former not liking the latter at all in Canon.
  • Pitbull Dates Puppy - Done sometimes, but mostly with the couple she wrote about in her very first one-shot, Eva/Harold.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts - How Harold and Bridgette come across in her stories, usually called that by the others.
  • Ship Tease - If they are not paired, there are usually some little hints.
  • Take That!: Against Twilight several times.
  • What Does She See in Him?? - A story theme in several of her stories, namely with Duncan and/or Justin.
