Syco Music (or Syco Records) is a British record label, founded in 2002 by noted British television producer Simon Cowell, and a subsidiary of his larger Syco entertainment company. Its main purpose is managing artists who manage to win (or make it to the finals) in America's Got Talent and The X Factor. As such, Syco has given a number of up-and-coming artists their start. Sony Music Entertainment functions as its distributor
