Noel Anthony Clarke (b. 6 December 1975 in Notting Hill, London, England, UK) is an English actor, screenwriter, director, and comic book writer having risen to fame from his role as companion Mickey Smith in the first two seasons of the revival series of Doctor Who in 2005-6 and has since become one of the most prominent black British film and TV performers. After writing and starring in the film KiDULTHOOD he went on to helm the director's chair for the two sequels AdULTHOOD and BrOTHERHOOD, effectively codifying the Hood Film genre in Great Britain.
In April 2021 he was accused by multiple women of sexual harassment and bullying. The Bafta he had received earlier that month was withdrawn, he was suspended from the Academy and dropped by his agency.
