"There's a lot to like about this town. The friendly locals. The arts and culture. The beautiful scenery. But if there's one thing about Santa Carla I never could stomach...it's all the damn vampire hunters."
David

The Lost Boys - The Lost Girl comic is a 2016 follow-up to the film of the same name.

Four weeks after the deaths of Max, David and the other Lost Boys, Sam, Michael, Star and Laddie have moved on with their lives. But Santa Carla isn't completely rid of vampires just yet. A hidden coven has stirred awake and is plotting to cause more havoc, aided by a familiar foe.

Star's allegiances are tested by these "lost girls", while Sam and the Frog brothers try to rally the Santa Carla vampire hunters to action. But when the vampire hunters are all wiped out, they'll need to call on help from an unlikely source. A source that still believes.

  • Alas, Poor Villain: When Billy's plans are thwarted, she calmly tells the heroes her story of how she was raised in chians before being burned at the stake, with the offer to become a vampire being her sole salvation.
  • Anti-Climax Boss: The ancient vampires only show up for one issue before being crushed from the collapsing cave. But that's because there's another enemy hiding in plain sight...
  • Ascended Extra: The oily sax man is elevated to a major character named Niko Petropoulos a.k.a. "The Believer" who has dedicated his life to fighting the servants of Satan with baby oils, music and an intense fitness regime.
  • Bifauxnen: One of the Blood Belles is called Billy and has a shaved head.
  • Blessed with Suck: Being turned into a vamire only has its perks if you're turned in your prime. One vampire is revelaed to have been turned when she was 80 and still suffers from the afflictions of old age.
  • Demoted to Extra: Michael went from being the protagonist to being a supporting character after being abducted by David. This leaves Sam and the Frog brothers able to officially take over as the leads.
  • Determinator: In case his song didn't make it clear, Niko still believes. Through the rain, through the tears, though the crowds and through the cheers, HE STILL BELIEVES!
    I'll march this road
    I'll climb this hill
Upon my knees if I have to
I'll take my place upon this stage
I'll wait 'till the end of time for you
    Like everybody else!
  • Devil in Plain Sight: There's another head vampire besides Max running the Blood Belles. She's been living at the Hughes Retirement Home all this time and her name is Agnes Underwood.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Grandpa is killed in the first issue by the new vampire coven.
  • Enfant Terrible: The Blood Belles have a small army of vampire children guarding their hideout.
  • Incoming Ham: FEEL THE POWER OF SAX ROCK!
  • Mama Bear: At the story's climax, it's Lucy who gets to kill the Big Bad.
  • Man of Kryptonite: The Believer regularly anoints himself with holy oils so that vampires will burn if they even touch him.
  • The Mole: Star is revealed to have been a Blood Belle infiltrator who was meant to keep tabs on the Lost Boys.
  • Mythology Gag: The Reign of Frogs comic is a fictional re-telling of what the Emersons and the Frog brothers went through.
  • Not Quite Dead: David returns, having managed to survive being impaled on a pair of antlers and allied himself with the Blood Belles.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Beneath the foundations of Santa Carla sleeps an ancient tribe of vampire women that the Blood Belles are preparing to summon.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: David tries to break Niko's spirit by telling him that the other vampire hunters saw him as a laughingstock and that he follows a God who lets His followers age and die while demanding chastity. Niko simply responds by saying "I STILL BELIEVE!".
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Lucy tries to get Laddie and Nanook out of Santa Carla once her father is killed, but is pulled over by the police, because Laddie is a missing child and she's driving around with him in plain sight.
  • Taking You with Me: David and the Believer fight to the death, impaling each other on a stalagmite.
  • Terms of Endangerment: When David catches up to Michael, his dialogue sounds even more flirtatious than it did in the film.
