Tex Avery
Tex Avery
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: If he actually feels sorry for Sid, that's a sign that things are weird. Such as in "A Man Called Horsey" where he saw that Sid's own horse turned him into a mute riding mount. Tex's response was to flip the script and try to save Sid rather than thwart him.
Sagebrush Sid
- Harmless Villain: Sid tries to be a mean and dangerous villain, but he gets no respect. The meta jokes make it worse where it's his job to be the villain, otherwise there's no cartoon.
Miss Chastity
- Damsel in Distress: She leans into this, sometimes to get Tex's attention. What's funnier is she is taller than either Tex or Sid, and if necessary she can fight back. Case in point, in the episode where Sid tries kidnapping her for a forced marriage, she screams in Tex's face to get his attention while he's reading a magazine.
- Ms. Fanservice:
Pompeii Pete
Pompeii Pete
- Gratuitous Latin: Combined with Canis Latinicus.
- Literal-Minded: Due to Pete being a Fish out of Temporal Water, he tends to interpret Dan's orders in the most literal way possible. i.e. in "Quiet Please", when Dan tells him, "My luggage. Chop, chop!", Pete promptly sliced and diced Dan's luggage thinking he meant that. Then when Dan told him "One more stunt like that, and I'll have you canned!", Pete stuffs him into a sardine can thinking he meant that.
- New Job as the Plot Demands:
Dan
Einstone
Genghis & Khannie
Genghis
- Break the Haughty: Once an Episode, he never gets a break. Part of it is his own fault, that he either tries to provoke Khannie or stop a bad situation from happening. In one episode, for example, he tries to stop a seemingly-incompetent messenger pigeon from delivering an insulting message to his boss. His actions reveal the message was his original intended one, but he gets punished by his boss for the amount of property damage that he caused.
- The Conqueror
Khannie
- Children Are Innocent: Most of her shorts feature her annoying Genghis because of how nice she is. Case in point, the mud pie episode where she sells mud pies on the street for a dollar and Genghis gets jealous when he can't cut into the market; Khannie tsks because he's selling his mud pies for a few hundred dollars. She later offers to hire him for her later mud pizza business when he loses his job, no hard feelings for him ruining her mud pies. There is the rare exception, like when she sics a snake on Genghis under the cover of "rescuing" him.
- Nice Girl: She shows no animosity towards Genghis, though there are some shorts where she may bite back at his hate. Like the one where she tossed him a snake to pull him out of quicksand, and the snake proceeded to swallow him.
The Emperor
Freddy the Fly
Maurice & Mooch
Power Pooch
Power Pooch
- Graceful Loser: He concedes when an old lady beats up the bad guy in an attempt to get the shoe back, rather than him saving the day. At Little Buddy's suggestion, he takes a "super nap".
- Lord Error-Prone:
- Superman Substitute: He is basically Superman, trying to save the day and stop bad guys. But he's also still a dog, and a goofball.
