    Lei Li 

Lei Li of Han Dynasty "One-Armed Swordsman"

  • Almighty Janitor: He becomes three years after losing his right arm, becomes the teaboy in a teahouse.
  • An Arm and a Leg: He loses his right arm after defeated by Lung Er Zi in the first fight.
  • The Hero: He's the main protagonist of The New One-Armed Swordsman.
  • One-Armed Warrior: Thanks to Lung Er Zi, he's down his right arm and has to fight without it. Not that he has much trouble.
  • One-Hit Kill: The beginning and the one in the end, has he kill every single minion with one blow.
  • One-Man Army: Lei-li in the finale, where his body count skyrockets as he massacres his way through a graveyard, pagoda, bridge, and the Tiger Hall's mansion, leaving behind a field of dead bodies from the Tiger Hall's mansion.

    Feng Junjie

  • Deuteragonist: Who many people have also felt takes up the role of the protagonist in the middle of the film before his death.
  • Dual Wielding: He wields two-pair swords.
  • Foreshadowing: Before his death at the hands of Lung Er Zi, He tells Lei Li that if he had three swords, he'd be able to counter his three-way staff. In the final showdown against Lung, Lei uses two swords alongside his one to counter the staff by throwing the additional two up into the air and attacking Lung before grabbing them and incapacitating him. Even Lung points out that Lei inadvertently followed up on what he said.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: He was killed by bisection at the waist.
  • The Lancer: He's a deuteragonist of The New One-Armed Swordsman, especially he becomes Lei Li's partner.

  • Antagonist Title: In United States version, he refers to the titular Triple Irons as his signature weapon of three-section staff.
  • Big Bad: He's the main antagonist of The New One-Armed Swordsman.
  • Cool Old Guy: He is able to put up a hell of a good fight against Lei Li in both their first and last battles.

    Tiger Mansion Leader Jin Fen

  • Mook Lieutenant: He's one of the four generals of Tiger Hall. He seems leading the lesser mooks around and to put up a much better fight than the regular mooks. He gets killed by Lei Li during the final battle at the end.

    Tiger Mansion Leader Jin Yi

Played By: Liu Kang

  • Mook Lieutenant: He's one of the four generals of Tiger Hall. He seems leading the lesser mooks around and to put up a much better fight than the regular mooks. He gets killed by Feng during the night ambush to kidnap Pao Chiao.
  • Starter Villain: He's the first opponent that encounters Lei Li and Feng Cheng-Chung in a teahouse, then he encounters them again when he gets killed by Feng during the night ambush to kidnap Pao Chiao. Also, he's the first general of Tiger Hall to die by Feng before the three remaining generals: Jin Fen, Chen Jie, and Fan Yun He.

    Tiger Mansion Leader Chen Jie

  • Mook Lieutenant: He's one of the four generals of Tiger Hall. He seems leading the lesser mooks around and to put up a much better fight than the regular mooks. He gets killed by Lei Li during the final battle at the end.
