• Recast as a Regular: David Chiang played a Red Shirt in the previous movie Return of the One-Armed Swordsman.
• What Could Have Been: The movie originally had a Bittersweet Ending, where Lei-li would receive a mortal wound from Lung while delivering a death blow, effectively resulting in a Mutual Kill. In the final cut, Lei-li survives the battle instead.
