    Colette Battancourt
A French Pureblood witch sent to England to keep her great-aunt company, and to possibly find a husband. She is friends with Narcissa Malfoy and is currently staying with Sirius's parents.
  • But Not Too Foreign: Her grandmother was a English pureblood witch from the Fawley bloodline.
  • Country Mouse: After spending almost her whole life on the familial estate in Normandy, Colette is extremely intimidated when introduced to London's high wizarding society.
  • Cute Bookworm: Her hobbies are writing and reading. And Sirius certainly thinks she's cute.
  • Foreign Fanservice: She's a Frenchwoman whom Sirius takes a liking to.
  • Friendless Background: Colette notes she has no friends, as her overprotective family are very eager to keep her out from socialising with other people.
  • Girl in the Tower: A metaphorical one, but she was horrendously protected by her family. The few years she spent at Beauxbatons instead of being home-schooled, she was surrounded by relatives and acquaintances to ensure she wouldn't be embroiled with the "bad sort".
  • Inadequate Inheritor: Her family's estate is entailed to male heirs, so she needs to marry.
  • Innocent Bigot: She candidly parrots discriminating comments about Muggles and Muggleborns, as she wasn't exposed to another opinion. Sirius intends to open her mind.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: She has striking blue eyes that certainly highlights her wide-eyed naivete.
  • Land Poor: The reason why she's seeking for a good marriage, her familial property is heavily indebted.
  • Meaningful Name: She was raised in the countryside and enjoys writing, just like the famous French writer Colette.
  • Odd Friendship: She's a bookworm who's desperately countryside-like in her behaviour, and she still manages to retain the worldly, sophisticated Narcissa Malfoy's attention.
  • Opposites Attract: She finds herself helpless to resist Sirius Black's rakish charm. Also, he's very much impulsive and prone to action, while Colette tends to step aside and observe what's around her.

    Belgravius Burke
The Black family's solicitor, officially hired to give the members of the clan legal advise and take care of their legal affairs, such as inheritance. Unofficially, he's paid by the current head of the house, Acturus Black, to keep an eye on his family.
  • Amoral Attorney: He's an unscrupulous lawyer who is known to take bribes, and is on the payroll of Acturus Black to spy on his own family.
  • Mean Boss: He doesn't think much of his apprentice, Bletchley, and makes no effort to hide his disdain. Bletchley hates working for him, and wants to find another job, if possible.

    Ignatius Prewett
Lucretia's husband, and the uncle of fellow Order members, Fabian and Gideon.
  • Bookworm: He's very bookish, and spends almost the entirety of the family gathering during the Christmas party reading and Irish book, which Lucretia describes as dull.
  • Opposites Attract: He's a very academic Mellow Fellow, and is a sharp contrast to his wife's gregarious and headstrong personality. Although it's not clear how much Lucretia actually sees him as a one-way ticket to get out of her father's house, Ignatius seems to be fond of her, and finds her wits and boisterousness her best qualities.
