Magical Beasts

    Gate- 505
Challenge Rating: 15
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Gargantuan

  • Combat Tentacles: Gate-505's writhing tentacles can be used as weapons in close combat.
  • Eye Beams: Gate-505 can fire a ray of electricity from its eyes that scrambles a target's digital signature.
  • Grew Beyond Their Programming: Gate-505 originates as a silver of corrupted code in an unused data sector that was overlooked by Triune's security protocols for some time until it evolved a level of sentience rivalling artificial intelligence.

Monstrous Humanoids

    Guardian Rhino
Challenge Rating: 14
Role: Spellcaster
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Size: Medium

  • Outdated Outfit: Guardian Rhino appears as a powerfully built man wearing archaic clothing.
  • Transflormation: When trespassers defile Jatembe Park or threaten those who belong there, Guardian Rhino punishes them with a powerful curse that transforms them into trees.

    Swarm Broodsoul
Challenge Rating: 20
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Colossal

  • Combat Tentacles: The broodsoul has dozens of tentacles dripping with acid.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: When the broodsoul is destroyed, it explodes in a burst of acid and psychic energy.
  • Fusion Dance: The broodsoul is made up of thousands of Swarm components, broken down into their constituent genetic pieces.

Aberrations

    The Eshtayiv's Voice
Challenge Rating: 15
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Large

  • The Corrupter: Each item or wish provided by the Eshtayiv's Voice comes with corruption or a curse, which the Eshtayiv's Voice neglects to mention, related to the item or wish's nature. In general, these baleful aspects are intended to slowly turn the PCs' mindsets closer to the consuming evil that the Eshtayiv represents.
  • Light Is Not Good: The Eshtayiv's Voice is a being of light, a baleful, all-consuming light that obliterates all it touches.
  • Mouth of Sauron: As its name would indicate, this figure is the Voice through which the Eshtayiv speaks.
  • Soul Jar: The resilience of the Eshtayiv's Voice is due to its displaced soul, which resides in a soul locus, a glowing crystalline orb on a nameless planet in the Vast that has never known darkness.

Outsiders

    Naxikriot
Challenge Rating: 16
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Size: Large

  • Festering Fungus: Naxikriot is a creature of Stygian spores from Abaddon. It restlessly travels the cosmos, infecting living creatures with spores that cause the victims to seek out populous areas and infect more hosts, much like a fiendish cordyceps fungus.
  • Hostile Terraforming: Naxikriot can bind the souls from larger groups into the surrounding terrain, using the quintessence to reshape the landscape in Abaddon's image. When a world is suitably infected to sustain the transformation, Naxikriot stows away on or hijacks a starship that it can crash into another world.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: During Naxikriot's last conquest, a group of surviving mystics tracked it down, bound it within an extradimensional prison, and used the last of their magic to catapult their infected world into their sun, destroying all of Naxikriot's spores—and themselves—in the process. Naxikriot had lingered in maddening solitary confinement within its sterile cell for uncounted centuries.

    Shulith-Hyla
Challenge Rating: 16
Alignment: True Neutral
Size: Large

  • Fallen Angel: During a mission of peace to the hive mind thousands of years ago, Shulith-Hyla was captured and tortured, and barely escaped before being discorporated. Unfortunately, the ordeal cracked Shulith-Hyla's faith, who has been disconnected from the Forever Queen ever since. In gameplay terms, Shulith-Hyla is True Neutral, despite being an angel (who are almost always Good-aligned as a rule).
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Shulith-Hyla seeks to bring the Swarm back to the faith of Hylax, by any means necessary; at least half of the Swarm will likely die when this free will is forced upon them.

    Ylenka
Challenge Rating: 18
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Size: Medium

  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: After kidnapping a victim and preaching the creed of the velstracs and the value of learning from Vevelor, Ylenka uses modify memory to ensure her captives remember their lesson but not their abduction or subsequent return. When possible, she returns her subject to the exact spot they were in prior to the abduction, such that the entire experience seems like more nightmares.
