- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has blonde hair, and is one of the nicest people who ever appears in either the series or the films.
- Hooker with a Heart of Gold: While not directly stated, it's pretty obvious she's a prostitute, and she is a kind and sweet woman.
- Put on a Bus: She is run out of Las Vegas at the end of The Night Stalker and never gets a chance to say goodbye to Kolchak or tell him where she’s going, and she never sees him again.

A city morgue attendant and occasional source for Kolchak.
- Creepy Mortician: Always cheery and chipper, which comes across as creepy given his chosen line of work and surroundings.
Jim Elkhorn
A Native American construction foreman and shaman. Appears in "The Energy Eater".
- The Casanova: He's shown juggling several relationships at once.
- Magical Native American: Downplayed Trope. He's a shaman who's aware of all the ancient tribal legends and rituals, but he's also very assimilated and has little interest in using his knowledge. He helps Kolchak reluctantly because Matchemonedo killed some of his men.
Dr. Ashley Temple
A professor who studies Native American mythology.
Delgado
An illegal diamond cutter turned (incompetent) barber.
Dr. Leslie Dwyer
A roboticist who created Mr. R.I.N.G.
Harry Starman
An elderly Jewish man who assists Kolchak in investigating a series of murders committed in his neighborhood.

Morris "Pepe LaRue" Shapiro
A street musician who pretends to be French to get more money from tourists that Kolchak interviews to get information on a series of murders committed by the Pére Malfait.
- Fauxreigner: He pretends to be French, in spite of being a Jewish American, for the sake of attracting tourists.
- Nothing Is Scarier: His death. The Pére Malfait quietly yanks him off into the darkness and Morris doesn’t get a chance to make a sound, and Kolchak takes several seconds to register that Morris is gone.
Mickey Crawford
A gambling addicted real estate agent and one of Kolchak's contacts.
- Cloudcuckoolander: He gambles specifically to lose, and to let Kolchak know he’s located Skorzeny’s house, he decides to wait in the back of Kolchak’s car, where he falls asleep.
Louise Harper
A belly dancer and graduate student who accompanies Kolchak in hunting down Richard Malcolm.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Subverted. She spends the entire movie as Kolchak's only ally and risks her live to help him stop the killer. But by the end of the movie she hates his guts, since her association with him resulted in her losing her job, her home and getting run out of Seattle by the police before she could complete her degree. She correctly points out that meeting him and joining in his adventure ruined her life.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Her helping Kolchak stop Richard Malcolm results in her getting run out of Seattle before she could complete her degree.

Lorraine Whitten
A real estate agent who takes Kolchak along with her in investigating the death of a fellow real estate agent and her friend at a house infested with gremlins, hoping to get rich and famous off of it.
- Asshole Victim: The final panel implies she is about to be murdered by a gremlin stowing away in the back of her car.
- It's All About Me: She doesn’t give a damn about the danger the Gremlins pose or that they killed her friend, only that they could make her rich and famous. The only reason Kolchak teams up with her is because he wants the story, and his Internal Monologue makes it very clear he doesn’t like her.
- Jerkass: A selfish jerk who only cares about herself and, after her friend is killed by the Gremlins, she decides to use this as an opportunity to get herself rich. After Kolchak manages to blow the Gremlins up, she berates him for costing her a fortune, not caring that the Gremlins probably would have killed countless people and them.
- Token Evil Teammate: Most of Kolchak’s allies are either concerned citizens trying to help, people he asks about the mythology behind the Monster of the Week, or affable informants who, while they ask for money, aren’t malicious or cruel. Lorraine, on the other hand, is simply a selfish and possibly sociopathic jerk who only cares about herself and how she can profit off of the Gremlins, and the only reason Kolchak takes her along is because he needs help breaking the story about the Gremlins.
- Uncertain Doom: The last time she’s seen, she’s driving talking about how she hopes she gets what’s coming to her, as a Gremlin emerges from her backseat. The captions of the next issue point out she’s probably dead, and Kolchak doesn’t know since she made it clear she never wanted to talk to him again.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Her reaction to Kolchak saving them by blowing up the Gremlins is to berate him for costing her a chance to get rich. Carl promptly rips into her for her selfishness and shortsightedness. Her response to that is to drive off, leaving him to walk back to his motel, and talking about how she hopes he gets what he deserves, and for that matter, she gets what she deserves. As she says this, a Gremlin pops up in her backseat, while Kolchak manages to break another story about Gregg Runningwater’s "Scooby-Doo" Hoax.
