    Mub Mub

KSS-KYUR-MUB-MUB-KA-MUB-BLIS-KA (a.k.a. "Mub Mub")

Voiced by: SpeakerD
A Shock Trooper and one of the very few Race X Survivors that escaped Black Mesa's destruction in Half-Life: Opposing Force.
  • Collector of the Strange: He claims to have a fascination with liquids and has a collection of them for Gus to taste-test/drink.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: While a little eccentric, he is one of the nicest of the Race-X characters. But episode 2 reminds us he IS a shock trooper. Flashbacks show him wreaking havoc on HECU troopers and Security Guards with ease.
  • Overly Long Name: Which is why it's abbreviated in most of this page's sentences, with Doctor Bags choosing "Mub Mub" after flubbing his first attempt to say his name.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Mention's he left Black Mesa before it's destruction due to his claustrophobia and general anxiety.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: One of his flashbacks to his escape from Black Mesa reveals that he carried Dr. Breen to safety.
  • Verbal Tic: Tends to slip "very cool" and similar things into his sentences.

    Gus

Gus

Voiced by: HulkyKrow
A forklift driver from Black Mesa that was rescued by Mub Mub.
  • Iron Butt Monkey: Played with. He drinks a bunch of dangerous liquids (Such as radioactive canal sewage water), but not only does he have a very understandable shock with one of the liquids he was supposed to drink being cyanide, but also almost dies from taurine allergies after drinking soda.
  • Hidden Depths: Finally gains a bottle of proper drinkable water, but chooses to use it to help Mub Mub and his Shock Roach win over quenching his own thirst.
MY MORAL COMPASS IS STRONGER THAN MY THIRST!
  • Nice Guy: For a man dying of thirst, he's surprisingly patient, understanding, friendly, and doesn't act antagonistic towards Mub Mub despite the trooper making him drink very dangerous substances. Doing his best to teach the alien about human attributes and indulging him in his "show" and he is extremely grateful when he gets a glass of refreshing soda. Even when he does get a proper bottle of water, he sacrifices it to Mub Mub so he can win the Headcrab Combat contest.
  • Plot Allergy: Turns out to be allergic to taurine which unfortunately triggers when he drinks a glass of soda.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: On the receiving end. After enduring numerous glasses of disgusting, unhealthy, or even outright undrinkable liquids from Mub Mub's collection, the last glass turns out to contain a delicious, refreshing soda... which promptly sends him into anaphylactic shock due to his taurine allergy.

    Pit Drone

PO-TA-TER (a.k.a. "Pit Drone")

Voiced by: Alfabusa, Karl the Deranged, & Blessed
An eccentric Pit Drone with a major obsession with the Gene Worm.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": Downplayed. While his real name is PO-TA-TER, he's referred to almost exclusively simply as "Pit Drone", which is his species.
  • Blood Knight: Really gets off to everything about violence, mostly the destruction the Gene Worm has caused.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Yeah, he's an obsessed rambling madman, but he's still apart of Race X, a race of aliens who are specialized in combat. Po Ta Ter makes a good reminder that he's a extra-dimensional warrior by ambushing and killing two Metrocops during the opening.
  • Horror Hunger: He says that he drinks blood at one point.
  • Mood-Swinger: He can sometimes switch from a Gene Worm worshipping rambler, to a mellowed out cool guy, and into a precious little scamp. Episode 2 has Gus calm him down with "scratchies" like some kind of pet.
  • Older Than They Look: He's actually 36 years old.

    Doctor Bags

Doctor Bags, M.D.

Voiced by: Earndil
A resistance operative who eventually discovers the others to recruit them into the resistance. Formerly a medical doctor from Black Mesa's Infirmary before ending up with the resistance.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Due to being medical doctor instead of a scientist, the devices he has invented aren't impressive at first glance. Unless one is familiar with Garry's Mod, in which case the things he's made should downright be impossible in the Half-Life universe.
  • Big Damn Heroes: His first act once he's introduced? Save Gus from his taurine allergy in record time.
  • Dramatic Gun Cock: Parodied to Xen and back, once he gets Trooper at gunpoint he repeatedly pumps his shotgun several times while interrogating him even pumping it twice. He also never fires it, however the sound of the shells hitting the ground imply he also loaded the shotgun with empty shells while doing so.
  • Mythology Gag: His first sentence in his introduction is are some of the memetic quotes from the Black Mesa scientists.
Greetings! MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
  • Nerd Glasses: Fitting his role as the more knowledgeable and intelligent person of the group, he wears a pair of opaque glasses although with one of the lenses cracked
  • Not That Kind of Doctor: In an inversion of this trope's usual application, he turns out to be medical doctor, not a scientist who worked at Black Mesa's infirmary. This makes him ill-suited to his current position with the Resistance's R&D division, although granted some of the things he's made are pretty impressive for someone who isn't a scientist/engineer.
    I AM A CHIRURGEON DUDE!!

    Timothy

"Timothy"

Voiced by: Garrot
A... thing that Mub Mub housed in the "dark room"/basement. While we're never given confirmation on what exactly he is, he resembles one of the cut aliens from HL1, the Kingpin.
  • Cop Hater: Apparently. And it's also apparently the only reason he's in with the resistance plan.
