He is shocked when Chinatsu ends up living with his family while her parents are abroad. He believes he has no chance with her, not realizing that Chinatsu already likes him.

  • Cannot Spit It Out: For over 100 Chapters Taiki just can't seem to admit his feelings to Chinatsu. He finally does leading to their Relationship Upgrade.

  • Oblivious to Love: Though he has a massive crush on Chinatsu he has no clue that both her and Hina like him.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Finally becomes a couple with Chinatsu after they both confess their feelings to each other.

  • Endearingly Dorky: Similar to Taiki, she is often a dork when not playing Basketball. And every moment just makes Taiki like her even more.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: Basically describes Chinatsu in a nutshell. She loves Basketball and is the most dedicated to practice and improving herself. It's her passion and drive that first draws Taiki too her and they both continue to support and encourage each other. All the more devastating when in her third year she gets injured during the National Qualifer Game and her teams ultimately loses.

The star of the Rythmic Gymnastics team and a classmate of Taiki. She constantly teases and annoys Taiki, though she considers him a good friend.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Comes off as one with her grand statements and overall energy. Though this is mostly to cover up her own insecurities (and annoy Taiki.) Nobody seems to be surprised when she wears a bear costume, or a reindeer outfit close to Christmas.
  • The Gadfly: Loves teasing and annoying Taiki every chance she gets. First it's because he is so easy to tease and later it's to hide her growing feelings for him.
  • Shipper on Deck: For Taiki and Chinatsu encouraging him to pursue her and make a move. Though doing so bites her in the butt when she realizes she has a crush on Taiki.
  • Stepford Smiler: Tries to hide her pain from Taiki's confession behind a mask of optimism. It seems to fool everyone except Kyo and Ayame.

  • Genre Savvy: Is one of the only characters who seems aware of everything that's going on, especially in regards to Taiki, Hina and Chinatsu. Without even asking or Taiki saying anything he immediately guesses that Taiki and Chinatsu are finally dating.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Blonde in contrast to his best friend, and a genuine nice guy under all of his snark.
  • Nice Guy: Though quiet and quite blunt (especially with Taiki) he is truly a kind-hearted guy.
