• Ensemble Dark Horse: Karen. While she doesn't appear too much, she's very well-liked for her emotional maturity, her refreshingly healthy relationship with Haryu, and for being a genuinely supportive friend to Chinatsu. Her sister Ayame too. She is introduced around the Cultural Festival Arc, and made into the top five characters in the first popularity poll along with, Taiki, Chinatsu, Hina and Kyo.
• Tear Jerker: Chapter 77. Hina gets explicitly rejected by Taiki and breaks down sobbing. Although Taiki coming clean that he'll never have romantic feelings for Hina is decidedly the best option for both of them, it's still hard not to feel sorry for the poor girl being at such a loss. Much later in chapter 134 the normally upbeat and cheerful Chinatsu finally breaks down after her team's devastating loss in the National Qualifer Game. After seeing all the sacrifices Chinatsu and others have made to help her get to Nationals again to lose her final chance is gut-wrenching to see.
