This page contains unmarked spoilers. You Have Been Warned!

  • The final fight between Gypsy Avenger and Obsidian Fury is full of awesome:
    • Gipsy Avenger ducking beneath a barrage of missiles from Obsidian Fury, then using his chest blaster as a rocket to tackle the rogue Jaeger's legs is impressive considering Jake and Lambert's shaky relationship.
    • Both Jaegers charge towards each other. Avenger neatly ducks and slides beneath Fury's chainsaw sword and delivers a cut to its side. It is very satisfying to watch especially since Obsidian Fury starts to weaken from the wound.
    Jake: Remember our old move?
    Nate: Hell yeah.
    • Avenger stabs Fury in a thigh with the chainsword, breaking it, then retrieves the piece stuck in the opponent and uses it to stab Fury in the neck, opening it to the final attack.
    • Gipsy Avenger rips out Obsidian Fury's power core, and finally bringing it down. Avenging Mako's death in the process.
  • This moment from the first teaser, as it rises to a climax:
    What is a Jaeger?
    It's you, times a thousand.
    Tall as a mountain,
    with a beating heart
    that burns as bright
    as the sun.
  • Everything about Scrapper.
    • First off, while not as big as the standard Jaegers, props have to be given to Amara for jury rigging a working Jaeger under the radar of both the PPDC and the murderous scavengers lurking around those parts while not being 20 years old. A transformable Jaeger at that, and one that doesn't require a neural handshake, much to Jake's astonishment.
    • Second is that Scrapper manages to give a regular-sized Jaeger a tough time right out of the gate. Granted, it isn't long before November Ajax tasers it into submission, but Scrapper is able to evade capture using its small size and bring Ajax offline briefly using an electric discharge of its own, eliciting Ajax's reply of "Oh dam-mamamam--!"
    • Third, it doesn't just pull one, but TWO Big Damn Heroes moments, both times during the final battle when the heroes are on the verge of despair.
      • The first time happens when the little bot appears from a copter, remotely piloted by Liwen Shao - itself a crowning moment for her - bringing the rocket Gipsy Avenger needs to fly toward the Mega Kaiju.
      • The second time happens when Jake's ejection pod fails to operate. Just when Jake and Amara have resigned themselves to death, it turns out that Scrapper has been steadily cutting a hole into the Conn-Pod, allowing the two pilots to get into it and out of harm's way.
    • And just to cap it off, tough, agile, unflappable Scrapper is the only Jaeger to survive the film intact, albeit beaten up somewhat. A scrapper indeed.
  • Shao and Hermann barely manage to shut the drones down with the kill switch, narrowly saving the teen pilots from an attacking hybrid. This also shuts down the breaches, interrupting the emergence of an enormous kaiju bigger than even Slattern, slicing the monster right in two as the Breach collapses!
  • A dark example, but Newt finally gets his wish to see a live Kaiju up close when the Mega Kaiju pauses briefly for him. All he can do is wave and say, "Bye!" as it stomps off towards Mt. Fuji.
  • The Precursor plan. While it does contradict some of the first movie, props have to be given to the fact they were so subtle and effective that they would have almost won more than once.
    • This also applies to Newt for keeping the plan running so well until the last minute.
  • During the Final Battle, each of the cadet Jaegers get a moment to shine:
    • After absorbing their combined barrage the Mega Kaiju's hammer bounds the ground and sends everyone flying. Guardian Bravo is the only one to recover smoothly.
    • Saber Athena is the first (and only) to take out one of the Mega Kaiju's secondary brains.
    • Bracer Phoenix uses its mace arm to smash the Mega Kaiju in the face hard enough to break off one of its mandibles.
    • Despite this being their first official sorting, the cadets and their Jaegers were doing quite well. So well in fact, that Newt had to fuse the 3 Kaijuus together to form the Mega Kaijuu.
  • Gipsy Avenger makes a move to continue fighting even when being the last Jaeger standing. She bursts out of a building dramatically and cuts at the back of the Mega Kaiju making this her third foray against the monster.
  • During the finale, the Mega Kaiju is just too powerful and easily tears through Jaegers. Even with Amara co-piloting Gipsy Avenger with Jake, the odds are severely against them since Gipsy is damaged and has no backup. In the end, the solution is to blast Gipsy into the air then have her smash straight through the Mega Kaiju with only moments to spare. The resulting shockwave splits the Mega Kaiju in half in a spectacular blast worthy of the Holdo maneuver itself. Amazing.
  • Titan Redeemer's pilots, even when they become sitting ducks after the Hybrid took out their legs, managed to kill one of them when it step into their line of fire. They get killed for it by the other Hybrid, but the fact that they chose to fight when they could have just played possum and survived is commendable.
  • Gipsy Avenger, as per Jaeger tradition, opens a battle by punching a kaiju in the face. Said kaiju not only pulls a No-Sell, it absorbs the force and slaps Gipsy several blocks away! Seems like the giant robots punching giant monsters are getting punched back.
  • Gipsy Avenger uses it's Gravity Sling to drop a skyscraper on the kaiju. It simply brushes it off, so Gipsy drops another one. And another one. And another one. And another one.
Jake: How many buildings can this thing take?!
  • The scene where the three kaiju make their first introduction, smashing through buildings and stomping on fleeing civilians...until the Jaegers show up.
    • This shot also makes a great comparison of the different personalities of the kaiju:
      • R aijin is shown as forceful and brutal, bashing and smashing all buildings around him in a frenzied rage.
      • Hakuja is shown as agile, sneaky and stealthy, burrowing up from the ground and climbing up on buildings.
      • Shrikethorn slowly lumbers about, shoving things out of his way, highlighting his slowness in melee but advantage in ranged attacks.
  • With the destruction of the Mega Kaiju, Newt is having a breakdown before collecting himself and trying to figure out a new plan. Just as he turns to leave Nate is right there to knock out the Big Bad with one punch and drop a one liner.
Nate: Be advised, we just caught ourselves a Newt.
  • The post credit scene of the movie. Newt is locked up, ranting and raving that the Jaeger pilots have only delayed the Precursors, Jake shows up and tells him to give a message:
Jake: Tell them next time, they won't need to worry about coming for us. 'Cause we're gonna come for them.
