A kind of Jerkass situation where:
Alex answers a question correctly, but when he was asked why he chose it, he could not explain it, and perhaps leaves a "I dunno, just a hunch." Then bill is asked why he chose the same question correctly and fully explains his reason and logic, however Alex goes "yeah! Whatever he said! That is why I picked it" As if he knew the reason all along without difficulty explaining.
I come by these jerkasses all the time, both in real life and on TV (at least, sometimes). What would TV tropes call this characteristic?

Is there a separate trope when the protagonist is revealed to be the villain, or just Evil All Along with Villain Protagonist?

Is there a trope for when a scrapped design (character or otherwise) is later reused/recycled/serves as the inspiration for a new character ect.? Not Reused Character Design, as I'm looking for something where the original didn't get used in the final version after all (original might be known about from early concept art, Word of God revelation ect, or it's later explained that the design was based on an old design) and that is used in the same series as the early unused design was from.

Conversational trope: Bob is having a strong emotional response to something (which emotion doesn't matter here). Alice comes in and mocks Bob for having that kind of reaction to something (she sees as) irrelevant. Bob fires back with something that gives Alice the same set of feels.
Example from Blaster Nation: Dan (for whom classic video games are Serious Business) gets triggred by a "Games You May Like" suggestion for Mega Man Legends 3. Resident Jerkass Rinnie mocks him for getting so emotional about a "silly video game." Dan simply shouts back "Clone High Season 2!" Cue Dull Eyes of Unhappiness.
Not So Above It All doesn't feel quite right for this scenario.

I'm looking to see if we have any tropes concerning a powerful person, being, and/or ruler that harshly punishes any criticism or even putting into question of anything they say. If they make a rule or law and somebody complains about it for instance, they are likely to torment the complainer for the impudence of so much as QUESTIONING their word.

What's the difference between The Dark Side, The Dark Arts, and Black Magic?

Is there a trope where an insult (sometimes in-universe, sometimes it's the narration insulting a character) is delivered via a long pause?
For example, a xenophobe talking to the hero and his foreign-born friends. Every time he refers to them, he doesn't use a slur but marks a long pause before using an inoffensive word that nevertheless makes his feelings obvious (ex. "you and your... friends... might want to [...]" "[...] if these... people... are still [...]").
For the second, a Discworld scene has the narration follow Carrot writing a letter talking about the good things his friends have done. When it comes to Nobby, there's a long wait while he thinks of something positive to say about him.

What's the trope (commonly an animation one) for when
- people can slide down rainbows and/or walk on it?
- either there's something at the "bottom" of the rainbow or people (commonly Cloud Cuckoolanders) trying to find out what a rainbow's end goes to?

Is there anything along the lines of "Emphasizing the Noun Marker"?
as in "Get me a horse, ANY horse!" "I don't want just any woman, I want THAT one." "You may be a moron, but you're MY moron." "That's not just some butt, that's YOUR butt!" "Well, we were watching the kid-" "you mean MY kid?!" "She's a grandmaster... nay, THE grandmaster!"

A type of Fan Dumb where a fan of a work, like marvel comics, loves the characters and the merchandise but has NEVER SEEN THE WORK, in this case, never read a marvel comic book. The result is that that fan will lose his/her self esteem when discussing the work with those who HAVE seen the work.
I tried to find this on the Fan Dumb page but the closest trope I can find is the Character Lover. Can anyone help?

Cute girls who eat a lot. This must be a trope, but I don't see one... nothing under Orihime Inoue, no google results for "hollow leg"... I'm just missing something, right? My impression has always been that anime is full of cute girls eating comical amounts of food, like it's supposed to be an attractive characteristic or something.

So, is this◊ Corner of Woe or Troubled Fetal Position?
Context: the boy in question is sulking over the fact that he didn't get the chance to name-and-shame someone. (Yes, he's a male Attention Whore) The scene is not considered to be in any rate serious.

Is there a trope similar to Enemy Without but the character is an ally instead of an enemy?

A gag where someone in an Alternate Universe unknowingly makes a reference to the original one.
- Series protagonist Bob is an ordinary waiter. One episode focuses on an alternate universe where he's a superhero, and said episode features this comment:
Sidekick: Can you imagine how different your life would be if you didn't have superpowers? You'd probably just be a waiter or something.
- Bob is sent to an alternate timeline where he was never born and thus never married his wife Alice. This timeline's Alice is single but owns a kitten with an Uncatty Resemblance to Bob.

How could we differentiate Devoted to You with Single-Target Sexuality and Undying Loyalty?
One character is sad about the sudden loss of another, says something along the lines of, "Oh, I miss them so much! It's like I can still hear their voice!" when the missing character is actually right behind them (or in close proximity) saying something like, "Hey, I'm right here! I'm not dead!". Common for cartoons and such, but the only examples I can think of right now are Baccano! (Isaac and Miria about Jacuzzi) and We Bare Bears (Grizz about Chloe).
