It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openEdit War on Characters.Cyberpunk2077
Troper ~FSU Bulldogs is up to their old tricks again. Troper ~Silverblade 2 cleaned Characters.Cyberpunk 2077, hiding several Zero Context Examples and entries lacking citation (as required by wiki policy for an unreleased work). ~FSU Bulldogs immediately and unilaterally undid their work, un-hiding several entries with no alteration, no edit reason, and no discussion.
If this sounds familiar, it's because it's exactly what happened a couple weeks ago. I messaged ~FSU Bulldogs at the time to come discuss the matter, and they never responded.
I have messaged them again informing them of this ATT thread. I have also messaged ~Silverblade 2 and posted on the Cyberpunk 2077 forum thread, where several tropers including ~Dirtyblue 929 and ~Not-So-Badass Longcoat have been coordinating cleanup.
openWhen is first person writing permitted?
I always thought it was in the Headscratchers pages, as there are a lot of people saying things like "I never got X" or "X never made sense to me". Is this right?
openWMG/Evil Genius 2 previously cut listed? Videogame
I figured given that the game is set for early 2021 and now has weekly news updates confirming its in the end stage of production, there would be a WMG page to speculate and I had some I wanted to add. But there's now a warning on Evil Genius 2 that it was previously cut listed, so I'd like to know if there's a way to find out why before I try remaking it.
openExamples deleted with no reason
On this page, on August 25, user Marluigio deleted the Expy and Personality Powers examples I wrote for Mimic without giving any reason. I messaged them about it two days ago (when I noticed this) and still haven't gotten a response.
openIs it appropriate to add a relevant reference to one's self to a work's page?
So, in effect, I am a Promoted Fanboy who has gone on to also become a variation of Teasing Creator for a web original. I'm certainly not the only Promoted Fanboy, so I can be pretty vague on that one, but the Teasing Creator part is unique to me and one other person involved in the work. I want to avoid accidentally adding anything to the page that could be read as self-promotion, since I know that is against the rules, but I also seem to be the only person maintaining the work's page. Would it be appropriate for me to add these facts to the work's trivia page?
openFetisFuel
We had a project a couple of years ago to de-wick Fetish Fuel. I still keep my eye on it to make sure people aren't linking to it, which is just as well because people do keep linking to it.
I noticed that it's being added to the Sandbox.Fan Speak page, which great, but I was wondering this: I know plenty of Fan Speak pages have Laconics, but is it worth getting rid of the Fetish Fuel laconic so that it looks less like a tropable page? Also, it has a Haiku page.
Would anyone object if I sent the Laconic.Fetish Fuel and Haiku.Fetish Fuel pages to the cut list?
Edited to add:
In addition to this, its description includes the following line:
They are Audience Reactions, whose In-Universe and invoked forms are called Fetish and Fanservice respectively.
Is it worth asking on the Edit Locked Pages thread for this sentence to be reworded slightly to remove the Audience Reaction reference, since most of the links I keep removing are on YMMV pages; Fetish Fuel isn't allowed to be listed on YMMV pages either. I was thinking of asking for the sentence to be reworded as follows:
Invoked and In-Universe forms are called Fetish and Fanservice respectively.
Edited by Wyldchyldresolved Huge Real Life section on FormerChildStar
Former Child Star has a huge list of actual former child actors and their life stories. I'm not sure if this is problematic, but seems to be something to keep an eye on.
openIs a comedy Rated M For Manly work automatically Testosterone Poisoning? Film
I wanted to add 2005 The Longest Yard as an example on Rated M for Manly, but since the film is a comedy, I was unsure if it should go on Testosterone Poisoning
Edited by HenryHFAopen"this qualifies for the trope" or "this counts for the trope"
Not the most meaningful or important post, but I've always found it completely redundant/pointless to write that on a trope page. If it didn't qualify or count as an example, then it wouldn't be on the page in the first place. It's not like this is a debate or something. Is there something I'm missing here, because I see a lot of examples prefaced with "this qualifies or this counts".
Edited by antenna_earsopenASDF funny
The funny page of asdfmovie mostly consists of retelling the videos' joke words for words. Is there really a point for putting a funny page for a series that is all about comedy ?
openWhy are people just arbitrarily removing red links for work pages?
I've been noticing this happening lately in pages I made. Even though the Red Link page says to leave red links for works in so that it's easier to crosswick later, people keep editing them out.
For instance, in the Spiritual Crossover page, a Red Link for Hawkgirl was removed, and then in the Split-Personality Switch Trigger page, two links for Outlaw Kid - a character with 45 issues to his name - were removed, with the only justification being that it was a red link. One of them even linked to the Red Link page itself in the edit reason, despite the fact that this action would seem to indicate they didn't actually read said page.
Either that, or the policy changed and no one bothered to update the Red Link page.

There's an ad on this site that keeps automatically redirecting me to whatever its advertising. Is there a way I can report it?
openDispute on Trivia page of Danny Phantom Western Animation
In regards to the latest changes on the Danny Phantom Trivia page by cheezyp00fz.
Several unverified pieces of information were added and presented as fact. And some of the text looks like it belong in YMMV.
Like how Steve Marmel allegedly left due to creative differences.
Also they added references to an unverified rumor that Butch Hartman caused the show to go over-budget. They gave this as a source. First thing that is suspicious about that post is that the animation for the show was done by a company in South Korea, called Rough Draft, specifically because it was cheap. Also the last line is blatantly false, Butch Hartman is credited as having worked on storyboards for every Season 3 episode, as well as director for them, and as writer for five episodes.
This is not the first time they have done this.
What is the best course of action to proceed with?
Edited by Rhoninopen A possible glitch Western Animation
No matter what I do this page remains blank, but when editing it looks fine. Is it my computer or is something actually wrong with the page?.
Edited by Hjhorton21openExcessively vulgar Quote page without works
I might sound like Bluenose Bowdlerizer here, but I think Quotes.Mx Bones is too vulgar and not really memorable. It would be one think if these quotes actually tied to a work, but Creator?

Avenger 09 keeps using the Help With English thread as a thread for making vague edit requests, and not for the grammar help that the thread is for.
open Should this be cut?
Before I go snip-snip, I just want to run this entry on The New '10s through here. I mostly want to cut it because of the SJW thing.
- However the rise of political correctness has also spawned a massive backlash. Terms like "Social Justice Warrior" ("SJW" for short) have risen to mock people who take political correctness too far, with a Straw Feminist stereotype being associated with the Vocal Minority on social media websites such as Tumblr and Twitter. Opposition to multiculturalism amid increased immigration and terrorism have spawned far-right populist parties which many feel are harboring sentiments reminiscent of the Third Reich. In addition, neo right-wing groups have emerged, with varying stances towards social issues. These groups are dubbed as the "alt-right", and may be the counterclaim to more liberal millennials. Due to conflicting views on both sides as well as moderates on both ends, Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment should be applied when discussing said issues.
So I saw a note on the Bionicle Fanfic recs page that said new recommendations should be added to the bottom of the list; but there was no such note one the Undertale fanfic recs page, and when I asked about it in the discussion, I was told that they can be added anywhere.
I initially thought that putting them anywhere in the list would be good since works similar in tone could be grouped together. But then it got through to me that this could be abused by people trying to "rank" the list based on their own opinions.
Does TV Tropes have a rule about this, or is it decided page by page?
